Mailed application- 8/16/2017
Permit Issued- 9/16/2017 (This date is a Saturday. Not sure what's up with that.)
Permit received in mail- 10/3/2017

I thought it kind of odd that I was approved, and the permit states it was effective 9/16/2017 (within a month), but evidently they waited to mail it to me. In any event, the background search, issuance, and mailing of the permit were all well within the requirements, and well short of the 90 days my Texas original and subsequent renewals have taken.
