Re: George Zimmerman popped for speeding in Texas...
I have it on good authority that you may very well still get a ticket even if you do have a CHL. Yep. I got a ticket on July 3 just as you come into Alvarado. The speed limit had dropped from 60 to 45 and I never saw the sign. When the officer approached I did everything right (hands in plain sight...

Can anyone point me to an online video link of the trial? I've only been able to find a live blog.

Re: Buying ammo @ Walmart afterhours?
why is it not posted on the ammo case? The few Wal-Marts that I frequent to look for ammo, DO have it posted on their ammo case. It says some thing along the lines of "Ammunition will only be sold from 8am to 6pm." I don't believe those are the exact hours it says, but it is something to ...

Same for me. I would love to participate in a DFW event like this.race4beer wrote:I'm in DFW and Houston is a bit of a hike - if there was one in DFW I would be in no problem. Perhaps the DFW forum members can start one?

Re: Catch someone breaking into car
I have been looking through the law and I really suck at reading legal jargon.. PC §9.41. PROTECTION OF ONE'S OWN PROPERTY. (a) A person in lawful possession of land or tangible, movable property is justified in using force against another when and t o the degree the actor reasonably believes the f...

my wife and I took our class at Texas Handgun Academy http://www.texashandgunacademy.com We took it on a Tuesday and were literally the only two people in the class. The instructor seemed knowledgable and had some great stories to share.

Pretty funny that "Bush" is the third most common word mentioned. I don't know if this is due to Bush supporters or haters but it's interesting none-the-less.
Re: Who Am I
I got it at :43 seconds but I was definitely thinking of the "someone else" up until then.

Re: Where to buy .22 LR?
As with all types of ammo, it really just depends on your timing. But with that being said, I've had good luck at Dick's Sporting Goods in Allen. About a month ago I picked up 1,000 round of CCI and then about two weeks ago I got about 2,000 rounds of Remington. I've had to ask for it both times bec...

Carry at church during high school sporting event?
I plan on going to a high school basketball game tonight of a private school. The school rents the gym of a local church and play their games there. Assuming the church is not 30.06 posted, am I legal to carry at this basketball game? I'm thinking yes because it isn't on any type of school property ...

Re: ammo on sale
I was at Cheaper than Dirt in McKinney today and they had a whole bunch of handgun ammo. I'm almost positive I saw .223 and I think they had .556 and 7.62 (I was only looking for handgun ammo). They did not however have any .22lr. The prices were pretty high ($20 for a box of no-name 9mm) but at lea...
