51% in Huntsville

I have lived in Huntsville now for about 4 months while finishing my last year of school. I noticed that one of my favorite lunch spots, Zach's Bar and Grill, is not posted with a 51% sign. Now I thought for sure this bar was 51% and had already took my weapon off and left it in the truck. Does anyo...

Reckless driving was moved to a Class B while I was in the police academy (I remember them changing mid-stream after we had gone over it with us so we would not miss it on the TCLEOSE test). Also you can get arrested for Class Cs . There are only a few things you can't get arrested for in TX that ar...

Re: Questions???????????

Looking to get into reloading due to the rising cost of ammo and have the following questions (I'm sure there will be more later) 1) Looking at either Lee or Dillon. First choice is Dillon 550. Need pros and cons for each 2) As I look into supplies I find that after buying brass, primers, bullets, ...

Interesting responses so far. I have gotten a lot of questions, and sometimes jokes about mine. I work in the oilfield and anyone who has worked there has heard the generic term for oilfield employees as "hands". As in supply hands, wireline hands, casing crew hands etc etc. Also when some...

For sure keep driving. Remember we as CHL holders must AVOID trouble. Stopping to try to defuse a situation might not help a thing. Also yes they could be cops. When I worked in LE I knew Federal Agents that drive cars that I know nobody would ever even THINK was a cop car. They had no lights, no si...

I'm forced to leave it in the car when I go to work. Usually before leaving I put it back on, and drive straight home. Sometimes I drive to class and in those cases I don't even bring it since I live litteraly across the street from campus. Other than that it stays on me. I would hate to go eat some...

Have dealt with Champions on more than a few occasions, as well as took my CHL class there. I am an ex-cop and like to think I know my Penal Code very well but Mike beat me out on one subject! :willynilly: I made good though and after looking it up and finding out I was wrong I went back and let him...

I just take my pistol out of my holster, and leave it in under the seat. I'm in and out so fast that the chances of something going down while I'm there is astronomical so I don't mind. Of course the two places that are public that I spend the vast majority of my time (work and school) I can't go ar...

I joined them a while back. As far as I can tell they are a political action group but I don't know if they are actually having an affect on anything.

Seems like it is one of those things where yes it's legal, but no generally speaking it is not a good idea. Seem the law says I can walk down I-45 with an AR on my back, but it's probably not a good idea.

Mistaken Identity

Well it's my first post so I guess I'll create a little laugh. I'm no longer in LE but thinking about getting back into it maybe just as a reserve. Anyway... One night me and my partner were just bored and doing a little bar parking lot patrol. Well this early 30's intoxicated women flags us down. S...
