Re: Rains County Deputy Shoots Victim's Dog

Here is the report with the dashcam: http://www.kltv.com/story/25335952/dash-camera-video-released-from-deputy-shooting-dog After watching the video I really don't see how he was in any danger. I think he even makes a kissing sound and says "come'on boy". I don't hear the dog barking or an...

WTS: Custom 1911 Colt Commander

The wife says I have to sell something to fund another project so here we go, my loss is your gain. I purchased this Colt Commander back in 2006 and had it customized before it was ever fired. It's been a while but I will try to list everything that was done as accurately as possible. All work was d...

Rains County Deputy Shoots Victim's Dog

http://www.kltv.com/story/25302236/east-texas-man-says-deputy-shot-his-dog I haven't seen the dash video so it's hard to tell exactly what transpired. The story that the dog owner is telling is that his residence was robbed, he called the police, and that when the responding deputy showed up his do...

Re: Anyone interested in a "Your first car" thread?

My first car was a truck. I had a 1992 GMC Sierra extended cab 4x4. It was two tone dark blue and silver. I got it from my brother in 1998. I think it already had 185,000 miles on it when I got it and needed a fair amount of work, but after that it ran well.

Re: Slow crime night in Boerne.

I'm really not trying to add any fuel to the fire, I just want to point this out. It's not the number of license plate lights or just that there is a light. It's that whatever or however many lights that shine on the license plate must illuminate it so that it is visible from fifty feet and they mus...

Smith Protective Services

Has anyone ever heard of them? They are located in Houston and offer all kinds of firearm refinishing. I have a family heirloom gun I'd like to get reblued and was hoping someone hear would know something about them.

Re: Lone Survivor Movie

Saw the movie too last night. I liked that Marcus has a cameo in the movie as a SEAL. Of course aftwards I was telling my wife the things they got wrong - I think i remember Marcus carrying a KA 308 rifle, not a 5.56, so his officer could not have given him his mags before making his run. Also axe ...

There are always plenty for sale on here. My understanding is that a face to face transaction would be perfectly legal for you.

Re: Texasguntrader deal gone south - opinions welcomed

Sometimes a dishonest person will make a deal and then another buyer comes along and offers more money so they will make up some excuse not to sell it to the original buyer. I had something very similar happen on an M1A I tried to buy. I sent all the funds and then the seller says "he's been t...

If I had one to test I would let you know. I see no reason why it wouldn't though.
