But I still haven't pulled the trigger on coated lead bullets yet, just dragging my feet, no real reason. Me either, Don - but my reason is I'm not yet convinced I can churn them out in any significant quantity/time; the whole baking part makes me shake my head. That is one reason, but check out Jm...

Ahhhhhhhh...A fine cool weather tradition, casting bullets..!!!! Mee Too....It's that time again. :clapping: But I still haven't pulled the trigger on coated lead bullets yet, just dragging my feet, no real reason. I am tired of lube sizers and the Alox mess, so it will happen soon as I get set up. ...

Re: Tumbler issues
I've been using vibratory brass cleaners for many years and all my brass comes out just fine. Not like wet cleaning, but almost as good. Main thing you want is the grit and grime off of them that could affect your dies. My procedure is simple, I always deprime brass, I use Frankford arsenal walnut m...

Re: Reloading Room Version 2.0
Your room looks great. I have been remodeling my reloading shop for about 2 years now. It's been a long process. I started about 2 years ago with insulation everywhere, in wall ( regular roll ) and on the wall with the 3/4" foam foil lined stuff with layers of tar paper and a plastic barrier. I...

Re: Brass restored.
I've done that with some heavily tarnished brass and 3M scotch-brite pads, it was very time consuming but came out great. Made a quick mount mandrel for my bench top drill press, took a wood dowel and made it slightly tapered so I could just push the brass into it while it was running at a slower sp...

Re: It's time in Texas for bullet casting..!!(For me)
Something is wrong with me..!!! About a few weeks ago I got a bunch of good wheel weights and made 90+ ingots, plus I have more than that stashed. Ever since then I have not been able to cast any bullets yet. I have been busy with one thing or another. Latest thing was building a greenhouse. Almost ...

Re: Powder for 38spl
I have not use any TG mainly because I don't have any.
But I'm happy using the old Red Dot, Unique and Bullseye, 231 powders.
I'm sure if there is load data, it should work ok...maybe not the best but thats what you must find out in your gun.....May work perfectly for you?
