Re: Giving a shotgun as a gift while out of state

You can drive it to your parents and then just give it to them. You don't need an FFL to do the transfer. There is nothing illegal about gifting a firearm and no national database exist of firearm ownership, only a database of stolen firearms.

Re: Just sharing

The 6.5 Creedmoor is an awesome little round. Runs with the 260 Rem but was designed for a gas gun. I know a couple of people that run it in their competition rigs.

Simple it is. Two cans of spray paint and some twine is all it takes. Simple, effective, and adaptable; What's not to like.

Re: OWB 1911 Commander Holster

For my 1911 I picked up a Bianchi 125, it is a great OWB holster and the one that I use most for that firearm. I also have a Raven Concealment that is excellent.

BladeTech. $60 bucks for a kydex reinforced double layer belt. It is the best deal I can find in leather.

Re: 2 .308 Bolt Guns, 2 Different Visions....

TAM it looks like you have a fun new toy. But I do have a question. What made you pick that over converting your 700 over to a DBM system? I'm not knocking you choice just curious what your motivating factors were. Obviously those two rifles serve very different purposes and truth be told the the Ru...

Re: New Ammo or reloads for CHL use

It really is an overblown issue. A prosecuting attorney can try to use almost anything against one in court. But an educated person, which most people who reload are, can easily defend their position in court. It really is this simple. As the victim of a crime you simply grabbed the closest most app...

Re: Looking for a new pocket knife

TAM has a very good suggestion. I prefer the M16-14SFG. But either is an excellent knife that offers excellent quality for a reasonable price.

Re: Help Choosing a new 308

Remingtons large frame AR are DPMS. DPMS actually produces them for Remington and both companies are under the same Umbrella (Freedom Group). Bushmaster may also be under this umbrella but it is a different pattern IIRC uses a FAL pattern magazine. You want gain anything in quality either way the QC...

Rails have their place but with the modular designs available quad rails are out dated.

Re: Gunsmith for AR FSP shave

Forget the smith, no need for one. An Ar is modular and very much like legos. No need for a smith. If you determined to cut the existing sight this can be done with dremel. But as mentioned previously replacing the entire gas block is a much better option. Some gas blocks are pinned others use set s...

Re: Colt M4 Accessories

Start with ammunition, it is the best accessory you can buy. Other then that magazines (everybody needs at least 7). Beyond these two it is up to you. What is you intended purpose for the rifle? How much do you have to spend? What do you like in stocks and other furniture? I plan on getting some mo...
