Re: Are "split" signs legal???

It is up to canons of statutory interpretation to determine the meaning. Since they are attached to one structure, they could be considered one sign. Same with attached to the building. Re: Google "Pressure Cooker" & "Backpack" - Get Visit from

What not to have people watching how you use their stuff? It was the IT department checking out a turned in laptop that got nervous when there were bomb making searches. Big shock they mentioned it to the cops. It makes no sense to believe that would be a constitutional violation. If fact that anyo...

Re: Google "Pressure Cooker" & "Backpack" - Get Visit from

The fact that this was brought to the police's attention by her employer and not the NSA doesn't really make this any better IMO. The police still showed up and searched her house because she googled something. That is not remotely OK. I am a microbiologist and I use the internet to search for info ...

You guys will love this one. George Zimmerman Juror Says He 'Got Away With Murder' "That's where I felt confused, where if a person kills someone, then you get charged for it," Maddy said. "But as the law was read to me, if you have no proof that he killed him intentionally, you can'...

I saw this the other day, too. I've been toying with making "Justice for Christopher" my new saying, but if I do that I'll be labelled a racist.

Please.
I'd second this, but it wouldn't do any good as I already know the thread it will continue in.

Re: I-45 On-Ramp (Gulf Fwy)

I have been to Austin and it seemed to be rather tamed. Must be all the pot they smoke down there. Literally! I had to go into downtown Austin for a meeting recently and on the way out, the girl in the car next to me had her elbows on the wheel, one hand with a lighter and the other with ...

Re: I-45 On-Ramp (Gulf Fwy)

Just so readers don't get misinformed here. Passing on the right in moving traffic, which is what was being discussed here, is illegal. Posting a statute for a vehicle that is stopped and/or slowed to make a left turn is disingenuous. In no case may you pass on the right if the vehicle in front of ...

Re: showing game warden chl / current viral video discussion

I'm quite sure that I couldn't tell the difference between detention and arrest in some circumstances. However, I'm pretty sure Texas law requires you to id yourself when you are detained, not just when you're arrested. Nope, just when arrested. Check for yourself. It is Section 38.02(a) of the Pen...

Re: I-45 On-Ramp (Gulf Fwy)

And just for the record, passing on the right is illegal if the car in front you is doing the speed limit. This is because that car in front may also be trying to pass but is doing so at the posted speed limit. And none of the conditions you listed above allows for passing on the right as I describ...
