Re: Walther polymer guns, experiences opinions.

I carry the PPS and my husband carries the PPQ. Both are great firearms, and we've had them for 2 years - no problems whatsoever. PPQ has a dream trigger!

Re: Social Security office

Thanks for the input. I was not carrying anyway because I am a teacher and was headed to school next, but I wouldn't have turned it over to him anyway! It would've been locked in the car.

Social Security office

I thought the Social Security office was off limits to carry into because it is a government building. I'm here now (not carrying) and the security officer just made an announcement that if we had any weapons like taser, knives, or pepper spray to take them back outside. If we have a CHL and are car...

Re: carry at jelly stone park?

To Asbandr and everyone else: I am very sorry for my error. I assumed the reference to Jellystone was a cute nickname for Yellowstone and have never even heard of the real Jellystone Parks. Dern Saturday morning cartoons. I thought the same thing! Gonna have to check out these parks for the ...

Re: Late pregnancy carry?

The Marilyn might work for ya. It attaches to and fits inside your bra under your left arm (if you're right handed). It's not my favorite/most comfortable method (I usually OWB) but it's what I use when I'm wearing a dress or pants that don't have belt loops. It's pretty easy to get to. The one I hav...

Re: Carry options for wife- Need opinions

Love my Walther PPS. Easy to handle. Easy to take down and clean. No problems racking the slide (I'm a girl with some arthritis in my hands). I've had it 2 years and it's worked like a champ every time I've shot it.

This WAS a good shoot. He was no billed by the grand jury this week. Any news on charges against the attacker? "In the other case, Mitchell Keith Voigt, 37, was indicted on an aggravated assault charge stemming from an April 9 shooting incident at Smokey Joe’s Cafe, 2903 S.W. Sixth Ave. Author...

Re: Sunscreen Ban Causes 10-Year-Old Girl To Get FRIED

Another case of Ostrich Syndrome that I see running rampant in the district where I teach. Lest zero in on one little issue but ignore the miriad of similar things still happening/being brought to school. Sunscreen is not allowed at my school either. However, my students apply/share FREQUENTLY throu...

Re: Cabelas Allen "you're printing!"

Well, as long as we're necromancing (don't know how I missed the post last year)....my only experience with the Allen Cabelas was that I knew way more about the Walther PPS I was buying than the guy behind the counter did. It was kinda fun. There were other customers watching/listening/chuckling.

Looks Like a Good Shoot So Far

Shooting here in Amarillo yesterday. Reporting in this town is usually terrible. No mention of who made the first call to police, or whether the shooter has a CHL, but he was released pending further investigation. Here's the link to the initial report: http://www.myhighplains.com/story/d/story/-/E8...
