Re: What gun would you suggest for wife?

I accompanied my wife to a range that rented s/a and revolvers. She could not rack slide on any of the S/A so she tried revolvers. She is now quite comfortable with a pink Charter Arms .38 Not only comfortable after the first few rounds. But quite proficient even though she is a first time shooter. ...

Re: Springfield M1A Scout Squad in Sage EBR Chassis

Nice setup. I have been thinking of modifying my standard M1a but as an old Viet Nam Vet it just seems a little sacrilegious to do it. What did this conversion set you back if you don't mind answering. I use mine for deer hunting and target range. 350-500 yard.

Re: Thunder Gun Range A No Go

Short drive down 1960 towards Spring and go to Carter Country. Good place to shoot and they actually had .22lr in stock in 300 and 500 bricks. I always stop there when I am in the area. Thunder Gun range is too age restrictive. I could not bring my 13 or 17 year old grandsons there.

I have purchased and fired several thousand rounds of 9mm 147gr reloads from Freedom Munitions with no problems whatsoever. I find they are in better condition than new from Academy.

Re: I just have to ask this.....

I use the Kangaroo carry for my S&W 9mm. Very comfortable. I have a similar problem with belt and waist band carry.

Maybe Mr Prez was thinking of Duck Dynasty problem in Munroe. It is serious offense to believe in God as the DD people do. You know what his administration thinks of us gun totin religious zealots.

I agree with Mr Cotton, more facts are needed and investigation should come from another agency. Speculation only adds fuel to the fire.

Now it's being reported that they did not have a permit to carry weapons in Massachusetts. OMG! How dare they carry a weapon without a permit?

As if they really cared about legality! What a joke.

Re: WTB S&W Sigma 9mm

I have had no problems with my Sigma S&W 9. Every weapon manufacturer I have ever known has had a bad production day or disgruntled worker on the assembly line at one time or another. Even my Glock has more problems than my S&W. Yes it takes a strong tug on the trigger, so it is not made for...

Re: Vietnam Vets

I respect the marine vets opinion, but that is just what it is an opinion. I am a Vietnam combat veteran and have been in several firefights. The movies depict spraying the VC with sustained fire and I am sure in some instances it may have happened, but in my experience it was usually pick your targ...
