Re: Making plans to go CHL with my wife

My wife and I took the class together and both have our licenses. We both used my Glock 19 even though she shoots a revolver. I wanted her to get the NSA endorsement because if I needed her to hold my pistol she had to have it. That is no longer a concern - yea! It was fun taking the class with my w...

Glock 7 - Die Hard 2

"That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines here and it costs more than what you make in a month!"

Re: Ever Had Robotic Surgery?

I don't remember exactly, but after my kidney removal I believe I was in ICU surgical recovery one night, in a normal recovery room until my bodily functions were functioning again (maybe three days,) and laid up at home for three or four weeks before returning to work. I had just enough vacation an...

Re: Ever Had Robotic Surgery?

I was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma in 2010 and underwent robotic surgery to attempt a partial nephrectomy with the possibility is a full nephecromy due to the location of the cancer. The surgeon who performed the operation was highly recommended by my oncologist and my urolgolist, and he inst...

Re: HB308

Please don't get me wrong, just because I'd like to see the penalty reduced in 30.06 does not mean I won't support this bill. I agree with Mr. Cotton, this is the most important bill this session and I am happy to see it being filed already. Last time, IIRC HB 3218 was not filed until the middle of ...

Re: HB308

I wonder how 308 would affect a bill for licensed OC, if 308 were to pass before licensed OC? It would have no impact, other than removing off-limits areas. The concealment requirement of TPC §46.035(a) would simply go away, so the reduction from a Class A to a Class C misdemeanor would be moot. Ch...

Re: Questions for OCT

Thanks for the three points that describe the position of NRA/TSRA. What is the basic parameters of "constitutional carry" and why is it the ultimate goal? Likely when I know what it means the value will be obvious. Why is OC in a 30.06 area a step backward for us CHL's. Sorry if those an...

Re: I STOPPED A ROBBERY LAST NIGHT

Javier, I think you did a great job under an extremely difficult situation. You can "would of, should of, could of" yourself to forever but that doesn't change "did". You "did" great, you and your family are safe, you and your family went home, you don't have the emotio...

Re: 5th Amendment for Innocent People

Many LEOs would agree as well, including myself. For me, if I should ever be forced to use my firearm in defense of self or another, a simple statement of "I was in fear for my/his/her life from that individual. I want to talk to legal representation before I say anything more" would be, ...

Re: Open Carry Bills 2015

If licensed open carry passes, I would like to see GC §411.205 revised so that you are not required to show ID just because an officer asks for it. Currently if you are walking down the street minding your own business and a cop asks for your ID you do not have to provide it UNLESS you are a license...

Re: Activating security alarm at retail stores while carryin

I don't even slow down for these anymore. I once had to purchase a pair of slip joint pliers at a wally world late at night and after waiting for 30 minutes for a seemingly competent cashier, I finally managed to head to the door only to have the tag not deactivated. I was frustrated, tired, had a p...
