C-dub wrote:How could it possibly be a violation at all if you haven't entered the premises?
The meaning of premises is different in 46.02 and that's a good thing or else Texans would need a CHL to carry a concealed handgun in their own back yards.

Re: Status update

They used to have application status available but not anymore. I heard it was removed because too many people whined that online status wasn't updated real time. Easier to remove it than get budget for staff to do updates or handle the complaints. But that's just a rumor so take it with a grain of ...

Re: CHL and early voting

I didn't use my CHL as ID but I voted early today and cast my ballot against Joe Straus. Not directly, but my rep voted for Straus last year, so I voted against them today. Every vote counts! :txflag:

Re: CHL holder "outed" by "concerned parent "

My lawn signage would read as follows: "When seconds count, the Police are just minutes away. Ms. XXXX of 1234 St. has chosen to rely on the Police to protect her family and home." "rlol" Remember the Golden Rule? It sounds like she wants him to post a sign in his yard too. :ang...

If they applicant has waited the 60 days, they should try calling to check their status. If they haven't waited at least 60 days, they should try being patient.

Re: Guns on Campus in Utah

There's no legitimate reason to believe a Utah CFP is any more likely to attack her than a Utah LEO. Does she want them disarmed as well?

Based on the antics of her fellow travelers, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a publicity stunt. I'm not saying it was, only that it wouldn't surprise me.

Re: Why can't we propose our own gun control laws?

I know how the legislation works. We could introduce our version of bill to put them on defense. For example, explain to me why we shouldn't put mandatory life sentence for someone who commits a felony with a firearm? Sure. Right after you explain to me why we shouldn't put mandatory life sentence ...

Re: Senate To Go After Some Handguns

Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds Maybe I am having a brain fart, but what the heck would fall into this category?? Tube fed .22 maybe? That's all I can think of. How about SKS rifles with certain aftermarket magazines? You also have to reme...
