It would be a blessing if the Hazelwood Act covers the classes. They have CHL, Safety, Intermediate Defense (12 hrs) and Advance Defense (16 hrs) classes.

IMO, You will get a much faster response using the financial aide office at the school. IIWM, I would call the Financial Adviser at the school and ask them if they accept the Hazelwood benefits. They will know if they do and can help from there.

Re: Texas Hazelwood Act for Classes

Thank you for your service....

I am putting my oldest through school at TWU using my Hazelwood. It really was a simple process. A couple of forms to fill out and getting a clean copy of my DD214 and sent to the school is all it took.

I am sure you have looked but here are a couple of links:
http://www.tvc.texas.gov/Hazlewood-Act.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://collegeforalltexans.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They appear to be a Public Institution so I would say they qualify. There could be finer rules in the Hazelwood about certain requirments needing to be met. I'd call an FA at the school and ask.
