Even if Texas adopts Open Carry, I would still conceal carry. I am in favor of having open carry as an option. This badge seems to go against why someone would conceal carry in the first place. I thought the Phrase "ALWAYS CARRY, NEVER TELL" was a pretty smart credo.

I have family in NJ wold like to drive up there and visit this spring..... Might stop of at friends mother who lives in PA and have them hold my firearm while i am in NJ. Otherwise i guess Ill leave it home.

Unloading my firearm and locking it in a case (Ammo packed elsewhere) can I at least legally and safely transport my weapon (I have a single firearm steel lockable case for it). I sometimes drop off my grand daughter at her Junior High School. I am a TX CHL holder. I am not entering the bldg but in a drop off area in parking lot. Am I allowed to carry my firearm with me there?

I have an SR40C I wear it in a DEEP CONCEAL holster (appendix carry). Up until yesterday I had left the pinky extension on.
