Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

Something to make you go hmmmmmm. The lack of action by Broward County Officer Scott Peterson is not an outlier, it is the norm. His conduct and cowardly behavior reveals a larger sentiment within a heavily politicized law enforcement agency. Politics is the filter for all decision-making. REPEAT: P...

Amazing New Breakthrough to Reduce Mass Shootings

Thanks to our Second Amendment, the United States has fewer mass shootings per capita than many other developed countries, including Norway, France, Switzerland, Finland, Belgium and the Czech Republic. (And 98 percent of our mass shootings occur in “gun-free zones.”) But imagine if we could cut ou...

Re: NRA vs CNN Tonight 9PM

Interesting read. Worth your time. My name is John Bouchell and I am not a bot. I was in school administration after spending a stint in the military. Let me explain: As usual, I was a teacher, a coach and later became an administrator. I worked at all three levels of public school in administration...

Re: TSA Contact

Couple of years ago SWMBO and I flew to Europe. We flew from IAH to Boston Logan then caught our flight from Logan to Chuck DeGaul in gay Paris. When we went through TSA at IAH the backscatter device picked up the titanium and stainless steel in my left leg which triggered a touchy feely pat-down fr...

Re: NRA vs CNN Tonight 9PM

I heard someone on Fox say that a psychological screening should be required before buying an AR15. I see the feel-good in that idea, but it's pretty bogus. You can't buy firearms with serious convictions on your record. The real world tests you, and pushes your buttons. If you're a problem child, ...

Been Thinking About the Current Crazyness....

The mid-terms are coming up this fall.

I'm going out on a limb and predict that all of this anti-2A and anti-gun stuff backfires on the dumbocrats.

The largest issue that affects my prediction's positive outcome will be how badly the GOP caves in to the pressure.

Chaps My Hide

We just voted at the county courthouse for the primary. Every time I vote I get angry. I have to disarm to vote. I have to NOT exercise a right to EXERCISE a right. Those ELECTED to office made rules that PROHIBIT me from exercising my 2A rights. There is something seriously wrong with this. Further...

Re: 21 or older to buy AR-15?

I'll be really surprised if the issue of high(?) capacity magazines doesn't come up again real soon. I, for one, won't have a problem with it. Define "high capacity". How does adding 1 second for a reload every 10 rounds change things dramatically? IIRC, the last time the high cap issue r...

Re: First Time to Travel with a Checked Handgun

I was going to Phoenix from Houston for a little vacation. I checked my handgun at the Hobby Southwest ticket counter and the process went very smoothly. I had a soft side suitcase and a metal locking gun box. The ammo was in the magazines and placed in a foam container. The slide was back on the p...
