Re: Looking for a financial planner
We just had a meeting with an Edward Jones guy in Allen yesterday. My first thought when I walked out of his office was "WOW!" We are doing retirement planning. I'm not sure i understand what you are looking for. Whether it's advice or what, but there are lots of resources out there. I'm a...

Re: How High to Place a Demand Feeder?
I don't lease for deer hunting but have a fair sized ranch in the brush country. At any given time we have 14 to 15 - 2000lb. protein feeders that are free choice feeders and quite a few corn feeders of the 600 lb capacity that are timed feeders. I have pictures of coons grazing at each. I use Duke...

Re: Texas "10 acre" rule for discharging a firearm outside of city limits?
Why not use a live trap and have them relocated? The Game Warden might help with that. I'm considering that route too. This has turned into more of an information exercise than anything else now given the wide range of answers I am able to find. It's a little bit bonkers. I'm just curious *what* my...

From the story I read, the shooting started after the sheriffs department was already there. They had been called about illegal parking.

:iagree: The problem for us northerners (North Texas) is HEB won't (or can't) move up here in North Texas. I loved HEB when I was stationed in San Antonio. Maybe someday they will expand to D/FW area. :grumble There is a Central Market on Bush in Plano. They tried a regular HEB and it failed most m...

Re: Ultimate Goal of Dems to repeal 2nd Amendment
I can't find anything on judicial repeal of the constitution.
As far as I know, there is only one way the second amendment could be repealed and that is by the adoption of an amendment doing just that.
This is one reason I am opposed to a constitutional convention.

That being said, I am kind of on the fence about providing a private entity, information, on prohibiting carry, by LTC holders, whether they are psych patients or not. While the LTC holder was obviously ignorant about the law, he was no more so than those who posted the signage. In my opinion, if y...

Re: Should we abolish the Electoral College?
Abolishing the Electoral College would require a constitutional amendment. I don't think it has the votes in either congress (2/3 required) or enough states to ratify. The next option would be a constitutional convention, which I have heard both sides call for. I am completely opposed to that option...

Such a neat little town in a beautiful part of Texas. The golf course is lots of fun to play and really unique.
