Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

Charles, that sounds wonderful. If there's anything we can do at any point to get momentum on this before the next session, count me in. (Of course in my case it would have to be something more than 'call your reps' because although I'm not in Austin, I'm close enough that my state lege representat...

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

In the last 12 months, I have not visited a single location where HB 560 would have changed my ability to carry. While I don't disagree about 30.06, I guess you might not be a soccer dad any more? I have three kids in school, and my wife is a teacher. I'm at schools and school functions multiple ti...

TC on Burnet Road in Austin still had it yesterday, along with the $4.99 Mexican Plate deal.

Although not specifically what you're asking, HB 560 would make it legal (even if still against policy).

I doubt we'll see something as specific as you outlined.

"Someone might misuse it" isn't a good reason to deny a constitutional right. Arguments similar to yours could be made for lots of places people might misbehave. Let me think of some... Polling place Court/Court office Racetrack Within 1,000 feet of execution of death sentence Business tha...

I thought it was two days every 140 years.

Re: How do you like my new signature line?

According to a quick search, my representative has a 7% rating from the NRA. (Why yes, I do live in Travis County. How did you guess?)

So I'm not sure I should contact her and get myself on a list.

Re: A no gun sign for CHLers?

I know this isn't the same sign in the op but it is very instructional as to improper wording and baseless threats. Even at the airport, which this sign appears to be requires a 30.06 or 30.07 notification to prevent carriage in the non-secured terminal. Property owners must be held to the very sam...

Re: A no gun sign for CHLers?

A little off topic, but I noticed a sign that cited 30.05 and forbade carrying of a guns in the building. I know that doesn't apply to CHLers but I don't know if the owner was intentional on that or not Was it anything like this? https://i.redditmedia.com/Gz03Yp6KEpPfJZT1mhnZNIbJjHl8uQHLymgGyBHt9CE...
