Re: Deputy Scot Peterson

You would hope after the night club massacre, when they waited way too long, mindsets in Florida would change.

I know the officers I talk to here say that their tactics started to change in the early aughts.

Re: Just became an NRA Lifer!!

Congratulations!

Now would be a good time for a membership drive. I'd like to upgrade from life to the next level (more life).

Re: Are AR15s going up in price?

Haven't seen any movement on prices. Entry level stuff is at rock bottom the high end stuff is still high end.

Sales are definitely up though.

Rules for the internet. Third or fourth party information is rarely, if ever, reliable. ;-) Posted to their facebook page: "We are not offering magazines with capacities greater than 10 rounds to the general public due to our location in Northbrook, Illinois , and local laws that limit our abil...

Re: Let's Really Protect Our Schools

I'm for it. Most districts will refuse such services, I imagine, BUT they won't be able to credibly say something can't be done outside of a constitutional convention or feel good/do nothing AWB legislation. Might need some training dollars if they're going to get more than 60 to 72 through the DPS ...

Re: Suppresor Talk/ options

But with a Form 5 transfer of an NFA item, does the transferee still have to fill out a 4473 and undergo a background check... Unless the items have been held by a 02/03 SOT for the estate there won't be a new 4473. For individual NFA Form 4s or 5s, there's no need for a background check because th...

Re: Stop the Bleed

If you've had the same kit for a number of years, good idea to check expiration dates on some supplies like the clotting agents. If you've still got the powder form, it's long expired. Some of the other materials only expire because they can't guarantee they're still sterile (but I'm sure work just ...

Re: Suppresor Talk/ options

I believe they stay with the executor (not executer...hopefully) until it's all sorted out. I'll check. There are certainly benefits to a trust. If your trust is really complicated, multiple parties spread all over, getting finger prints and photos for everybody can be challenging. I've got a trust,...

Re: Suppresor Talk/ options

If you're the only one shooting your NFA toys, I'd lean towards individual filings.

On suggestion for the heir or person handling your affairs, have example Form 5s filled out for each NFA item. Easy to do. Download the PDF, type in your details, print it off and keep it with your papers.

Re: Suppresor Talk/ options

Multigenerational trusts still have an advantage. When I die, my son, wife, and daughter in law will not have to surrender the NFA items on the trust because it is multigenerational. Hopefully, by the time they approach end of life, my son will be able to transfer the items to my grandson’s possess...

For an NFA Trust. Are fingerprints required for all trusties and beneficiaries or just pictures?
TIA

For Form 1 or Form 4 items, all members of the trust have to be fingerprinted and photographed. FWIW, trusts are also taking much longer than individual applications.

Re: Suppresor Talk/ opcions

There are a ton of options out there. Price goes from low to high along these general lines: 1. direct thread - stainless (blends) 2. direct thread - titanium 3. quick detach - stainless 4. quick detach - titanium Titanium is lighter but not as 'durable'. Durability is a bit of a misnomer as few sho...

Office Space is a classic!

On the game and the NFL. Yes, there are some bad stories in the NFL, but there are also many more great stories.

What does the game MVP, Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles plan to do when football is over? Be a pastor at a christian school.

Re: The p365, g27 and musings of size efficency.

I have yet to handle one but based on the pre-orders I have, Sig has a hit on their hands. In the last 6 years, I can't think of another model of any brand that's seen this much movement sight unseen. Glock 43 could be a close contender but then again people had seen the 42 so it wasn't such an unkn...
