Unless the enemy are using Mossion Nagant rifles, nobody is using the 7.62x54R cartridge.

If English, it would have to have a proof mark. Unless a starter gun. Have you checked the barrel for rifling? The lach of markings also is curious for a firearm.

I have watched the guys who do quick draw with single action revolvers practice. Wax bullets and chaps, and the chaps have quite a few streaks of wax on them. Drawing any handgun when trying to use it quickly is inherently dangerous.

More information would help. First guess is starter pistol. Markings, caliber, rim or center fire? If the barrel has rifling, not a starter pistol.

I wore a toolbelt for so many years that I generally forget it is there. Used to a lot more weight on a belt.

OP, if you have any second thoughts about your firearm, get another. A life threatening crisis will have enough second thoughts and doubts without adding doubts about your tools.

My thought is that without 30.06, we would not have CC in TX at all. Businesses would have squashe'd it without a means to not have to deal with it directly. We had CC without 30.06 for one year and 9 months... And once businesses got their way out of participating, they directed their lobby money ...

Favorite is a Remington single shot bolt action that belonged to my dad.
