There was this little old lady in the stall next to me during my class that actually kinda scared me. She put two bullets in my target and one in the guy on the other side of her and she still passed. I now look for her on the street so i can go the other way. LOL! Yeah...That's truly frightening. ...

AFAIK, there's no official line from SIG on whether snap caps need to be used. The general consensus seems to be that they're not necessary but since they're cheap, and better safe than sorry, I always use 'em.

Re: Questions about the CHL range test.

Ok...Thanks guys. Knowing what to expect helps a lot. Yes. Go out this weekend and fire strings of shots at 3 yards. Start as slow as you like and increase the rate as gradually as feels comfortable. You'll be a human machine gun in an hour. It will be a piece of cake. I'll do that. I had been focus...

Questions about the CHL range test.

Not really a "New to CHL" question since I don't have my CHL yet...More a "Pre-CHL" question, but I didn't see a better forum, so here goes. I'm scheduled to take the class on Saturday, and then have my range test this upcoming Monday, and I have a couple of questions abou...

No brimless hats? Would that include a yarmulke? If so, things could get entertaining when they try to enforce it. LOL! I wondered the exact same thing! Talk about draconian policies...In order to enforce their "parental escort policy" they also require patrons to carry photo id wi...

We were informed by one of the sheriff's officers that we needed to post our "gun free school zone" sign. She said that a criminal could simply say that he/she didn't know guns weren't allowed on campus . Why some judge/jury would let this one go is beyond me. I guess that's the twisted w...

Just getting started here. I've filled out the online application, and I'm waiting for my packet from DPS. Once I get that, I'll take the class, and get to graduate to the waiting room.

Went looking for night sights for my Sig P229, came home with a new P229R with factory night sights. I was putting too many rounds on the one 229 anyway.

I picked up a Mossberg 500 as well, just for good measure. All in all, I'd call it a successful outing.

Bullet Trap in Plano. http://www.bullettrapinc.com They might have an AC but I know I was in there last Friday and it was hot. They where busy so that might have had something to do with it. Nice range though. I was there yesterday evening, and the temperature was quite pleasant, even though it was...
