AFAIK, there's no official line from SIG on whether snap caps need to be used. The general consensus seems to be that they're not necessary but since they're cheap, and better safe than sorry, I always use 'em.

Just getting started here. I've filled out the online application, and I'm waiting for my packet from DPS. Once I get that, I'll take the class, and get to graduate to the waiting room.

Went looking for night sights for my Sig P229, came home with a new P229R with factory night sights. I was putting too many rounds on the one 229 anyway.

I picked up a Mossberg 500 as well, just for good measure. All in all, I'd call it a successful outing.
