Re: Bought a chronograph...
I have a Chrony Gamma Master. I shoot a lot of IDPA and have found it very useful for ensuring my loads meet power factor. Failing to do so can result in match disqualification. So far I have not shot the box (knock on wood). I always use a solid, adjustable rest and ensure I am on target by sightin...

Drive carefully, obey the speed limit, don't give a peace officer probable cause to search your car, and enjoy your trip.

A solid bedroom door with a reinforced frame, a deadbolt on the bedroom, and an alarm. If the alarm goes off, assuming no one else in the house that may need securing (e.g. young children), stay put and call 911. No need to do a building clearing exercise. If you wake and your wife is not with you, ...

9mm 124 or 147?
I currently carry Hornady 135gr Critical Duty.
I have tested the new 80gr. Ruger / Polycase ARX +P. The accuracy was very good and the velocities over my chronograph actually exceeded the advertised velocities; however, I have not switched.

Same thing happened to my dentist. A Illinois company bought his practice and immediately posted (incorrect) signs. Sigh--looking for another dentist is a pain.

Re: Can you suggest a 380 pistol as a loaner for beginners?
I've had good success with the Springfield XD 4". A local FFL had a batch of Ruger LCPs he purchased for a good price and was selling them accordingly--particularly to women. A number of novice shooters showed up in my CHL classes with them and (not surprisingly) could not hit a barn with it. E...
