I have no intention of trying it without more information. I like the thought of .44 mag performance from a 1911. Other than a compensated or ported barrel and heavier spring (recoil and firing pin) I don't see why a steel weapon could not handle the pressures ( l'm told by folks who have tried it that the brass handleing the pressure is no problem.)

.45 ACP to .460 Roland pressures?
Anyone load 45 ACP to .460 Roland pressures ? I have read a few folks ( one very knowledgable) that it can easily be done. Wondering if anyone here has tried it.
