That's how I read it, white or amber (non flashing). It specifically mentions LEDs, what if you have neons? Surprised they made it so narrow.

Re: Nephews encounter with LEO N. Dallas

That's great that the officer is pro chl but where the heck does he or any cop get off by lecturing about anything not pertaining to legal issue? My carry is my business carry-or not. He's a cop not a parent. Not a buddy. We're not hanging out he is making a custodial stop. You know, you're right. ...

This is what they use for non-approved equipment. 547.3215 FEDERAL STANDARD Unless specifically prohibited by this chapter, lighting, reflective devices, and associated equipment on a vehicle or motor vehicle must comply with: (1) th...

Re: First Time Disarmed

What is interesting is, that he didn't even look back when he was walking back to the cruiser though I was already reloading. Which tells me he didn't have a reason to disarm you in the first place. You can't disarm people for the sake of disarming them, you need to have an articulable reason for it.

Inter-agency? One local PD to another local PD or DPS?
DPS does it, but it's an internal thing. If a PD shares a CAD system with another agency then yes they could see if a warning was issued. But no, there is no statewide database for warnings.

Re: DPS Encounter at the Capital on 1/19/2013

I didnt' know DPS had motorcycles. Is that a capital thing? All I can tell you is that the DPS warning ticket I received was from a State Trooper on a Motorcycle. I also observed State Troopers patrolling on bicycles. Only a capitol thing, they have 3 motor officers and two motorcycles. It's a test...

Re: probable cause to pull me over......

Kurtz v State The question in this appeal is whether an officer of the police department of a city has authority to stop a person for committing a traffic offense when the officer is in another city within the same county. We hold that the officer does not have such authority. He was arrested for DW...
