Re: Now That's Funny Right There...

I'd be a bit upset that the reverend spent $3k in church funds to buy the tickets. Any why bother giving the gun to a friend for "safe keeping" when his plan is to destroy it? Why not just give the cops a call and turn it over to them?

Re: Denton Co Sheriff Deputy Mundo

FYI, for insurance information, since 2013, you can carry digital proof of financial responsibility on a wireless mobile device (phone/tablet). I use my insurance company's app for it. The law specifically says that using that means of showing proof of liability insurance is not a justification or ...

Re: Gun Free Zones Damages

My understanding is that the bill listed below is a done deal in Tennessee and becomes law at the end of the month: http://crimeresearch.org/2016/04/tennessee-legislature-makes-major-moves-to-get-rid-of-gun-free-zones-at-public-universities-and-businesses/ None of those Tennessee bills that passed ...

Re: US vs Miller, JPFO Site - Review and Comment?

In the Heller decision, Scalia pointed out that the Miller court only heard arguments from the government and hinted that Miller was flawed for at least that reason. I fear that the window for a successful challenge to the NFA has closed until there's a Scalia-like appointment to the Supreme Court.

Re: Giving Blood

If you happen to pass out while you're giving blood, how do you maintain control of your weapon? If someone sucker punches you and knocks you unconscious, how would you maintain control of your weapon? If you're maintaining situational awareness, how did you get into the position of being sucker pu...

Re: D.C. must generally grant gun-carry licenses to law-abiding adults

Do they have a chapter in New Jersey? As far as the case goes, the "good cause" specified by the plaintiff was the Second Amendment, not membership in Pink Pistols. Yes, I was posting in jest. I should have included an emoticon. NJ makes it difficult for anyone to get a CCL regardless of ...

Re: DC: Anti-carry law loses again

Verrrrryyyyy interesting! Thanks for posting ELB. :tiphat: Could D.C. be possibly be heading towards "shall issue"? Let's hope so! It would be nice, but they'll probably fight it. Then the left will get another federal judge or court to rule the other way setting up another trip to SCOTUS...

Re: Spanish LTC Test

This is even more interesting that 30.06 and 30.07 signs are mandated in Spanish. Why is this necessary if all LTC holders supposed to be able read and pass the LTC test in English? I suspect the legislature didn't think about it too much. Better to pass something that doesn't, on its face, exclude...

Re: OMG I want my plastic

My confirmation date was Feb 29. I've been trying not to check the status too often (a) to keep myself from obsessing and (b) in the off chance there's some evil software algorithm that pushes your application farther down the review queue the more often you check the status. Checked my status...
