without knowing the specifics of the situation, I'm not sure what would be the right thing to do.

as a general guideline, though, I would say it's a bad idea to shoot at a vehicle of a person who is fleeing the scene after doing a bad thing.

you have lots of great choices for a sub-1000 dollar 1911. I recommend getting one with nightsights. One of my daily carries is a Kimber Custom TLE2 and I love it.
