Re: Raising the CHL Populace

The outlaw biker gangs used to have a 1% sign on their vest. The sign would represent that 1% of all bikers were outlaw gangs. Perhaps as sign among the 1& of the chl holders in the state we ought to do something similar.. kind of a secret handshake! LOL

Re: Need Help: The Parents Found Out...

I remember growing up my mom and dad saying "my house my rules, when you have your house it can be your rules". I am 49 years old, I have reminded them of that on more than one occassion. If you dont want to see guns in my house then dont come to my house. Simple. Mom has continued to come...

Re: Talking to management

Our company (40,000 employees) has a no weapons policy as well. I have had to dismiss two employees for possession of firearms on company property. I too have asked that we change our policy and I will try to articulate here what I was told. A plaintiff (employee) will have a hard time suing for neg...

Re: Reaction to Non-Compliant 30.06 Signs

Tom
I agree it should never get that far, but lots of cases should not have and they do. My personal opinion is really simple, If an LEO can carry, so can a CHL'er, except for bars and secure areas of airports, there should be no restrictions on where we carry.

Re: Reaction to Non-Compliant 30.06 Signs

I have reacted different ways. I typically will not even enter the establishment I will leave. On two instances I have spoke with the owner and he removed the signs. As far as respecting the intent of the owner, that does not bother me as much as 15 years in LE and seeing how judges and juries look ...

Re: Shoot or No Shoot?

Not to be a kill joy, but how many of you have been in shoot don't shoot situation in real life? It is very simple to sit here in front of a computer and say what you would do. Real life is a whole new game.Though in order to be better prepared for that day should it come you should regularly imagin...

Re: ALERT: AMC Theaters have posted 30.06

Several have posted about the signs being compliant vs non compliant and carrying in non compliant areas. That is certainly your decision to make. However I believe that some courts may side with the "spirit of the law" arguement. That means while the letters may not be the correct height ...

Re: ALERT: AMC Theaters have posted 30.06

Here is what I sent to Mbell I recently went to see Rambo at your Humble,Tx location. I am a concealed handgun license holder and since most theatres are located within malls, which as we all know are high crime areas, I always exercise my right to carry. I was disappointed to see a no handguns sign...

Re: Concerns Arise Over Law Allowing Drivers To Carry Guns

This one will have you scratching your heads. I had a police officer at the house last night, he is dating my daughter. I asked him how the law was being enforced within HPD and the DA's office since we all know Chuckie's Code is what gets enforced regardless of the Penal Code provisions. The office...

Re: LEO seizure of a handgun

AS A FORMER LEO I ALWAYS BELIEVED IN GUN CONTROL, THAT BEING I AM IN CONTROL OF ALL GUNS PRESENT. I HAVE A CHL, I WOULD NOT BE OFFENDED IF AN OFFICER DISARMED ME, I WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED IF HE DIDN'T. HIS SAFETY COMES FIRST AND FOREMOST, I AM THE LEAST LIKELY PERSON ON THE PLANET TO BE A THREAT TO A...

Re: Bedford Police Chief answers re: CHLer arrested at hospital

Bottom line, As an employer if I tell an employee that you are not to carry weapons on company property, it is in your best interest not to do so. At minimum you will be fired. Here is a case where the employee works in a psych ward. Common sense says you don't carry there. If they dont even allow t...

15 years in Law Enforcement, 2 years in SWAT, I carried even after I got out of it. Just decided to make it legal in case I had to use it.

Re: Joe Horn, a Commiefornia perspective

Here is the text of the email I sent to the author You obviously failed to do any research prior to writing your article. Your source of information is apparently the master racist himself Quanell X. Had you done even the smallest amount of research you would know that a warning shot is not required...
