That fight WAS brutal, the whole thing was disturbing but not nearly as draining as what I call the "Of Mice and Men" episode. Sheesh. I can't help but think on what happened to Beth. *Sigh* Only three months before answers.

In keeping with the thread title, it's time for a resurrection. Anyone else keeping up with this last couple of episodes? I choked up with both the Of Mice and Men allusion and the redemption. Hadn't been this moved since Daryl had to shoot Merle, though I was touched with the acknowledgement of Rick's spiritual maturity by Herschel before he was "martyred". Good grief! That's all I've got; I need to grill something.

But the rule is you do not kill the living (mercy killing one who is being eaten aside). I look at this show as a study in human nature. The first few seasons were, "What do you become when there are no rules?" I don't agree with kicking out Carol. He's not on that committee that is making decisions and she was a very large contributor to the group. In situations like they are in (dealing with danger all the time, like combat) people will often make decisions that may seem immoral in normal times but in their eyes are very ethical. In the Army they used to teach leadership lessons by giving us a scenario where we had to make a decision and there was no clearly moral high ground to take. The point was to get us to make leadership decisions and keep moving. Make a good decision or a bad decision, but make a decision. Carol did just that. If she had taken it to the group they would have him-hawed around trying to decide what to do. Meanwhile the people would have turned.
If Rick hadn'r sent Carol packing, Ty would've killed her. Yes, he would have found out.

It certainly looks like he's finally cooked off. And he'd better straighten out the way he deals with Mishon (sp?). She's the best friend they've got right now.
