Apparently the 2 CIs have said that they never said anything about heroin or don't recall seeing heroin, and that they didn't recognize the people in the house. Sounds like they hit the wrong house and murdered Innocents.

Yea this is starting to look like some kind of assassination or something under the table. Less like a botched raid, and the whole narrative is falling apart. The cops need to be fired and possibly jailed for murder, and Acevedo needs to resign and go away.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
It's looking like the investigating officers lied in order to get the warrant signed i.e. nobody ever bought drugs from the house or the informants just flat-out lied and then the investigating officers lied to get the warrant
The One Cop is already been relieved of Duty I think the other investigating officers that were involved need to be as well. This is a highly screwed up situation. 4 cops shot, 2 Innocents are dead, and Acevedo needs to resign immediately.

Is 1 gram very much?
Attorney familiar with drug operations said he would have expected to find scales and unused baggies if it was a drug operation.
Well if my teenage and early twenties mean anything, 18 grams of weed is really not a lot if you are a fairly consistent weed smoker. Don't even really have to be a heavy weed smoker, me and a couple buddies could smoke 18 grams in a matter of few days back then. Especially if we are talkin about what would be called Reggie weed and not what we'd call Hydro or the good stuff. Even if it was the better stuff 18 grams is still not drug dealer amounts of marijuana.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
In most of the news stories the day after the raid took place he was quoted as saying "Our officers DO NOT wear body cams while conducting these raids" Which makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. I think cops ought to wear body cams from the time they clock in, and until they clock out. ESPECIALLY on these kind of raids, it would put to bed a lot if not all of the questions people are asking. Mainly the video of them buying heroin off someone that led to the warrant being issued.

mbschne wrote: ↑Thu Jan 31, 2019 9:31 pm What is the purpose of the "no knock warrants"? I read the story below that a recent drug arrest was made in Galveston. There was no shooting or injuries and I assume both suspects were arrested without incident.
https://abc13.com/pair-arrested-for-$25 ... n/5114466/
Supposedly the purpose of a "no Knock" is to catch the people by surprise, so they don't have time to flush, hide or otherwise dispose of the illicit substance, or goods etc. The problem with this, especially in Texas and as many here have stated, if someone comes busting through my door without announcing POLICE or anything at all, and they knock down my door I'm going to assume they're there to do harm and I will come out shooting. I actually knew a guy years ago who sold large amounts of weed. The cops came to his "trap house" (apartment where he sold drugs) and kicked in his door. He thinking he was being robbed went for a shotgun nearby and was shot by officers. On top of the drug charges he also caught a attempted murder of a LEO. Obviously I'm not defending the guys actions of selling drugs, my thoughts on marijuana are liberal at best. Point is, I don't think an amount of illegal drugs large enough to gain notice of cops and issue a felony warrant with raid is easy enough to get rid of in the time between someone yelling POLICE OPEN UP while banging on the door, and then kicking it in after not getting an answer. I hope we really get the truth out of all this. I want to see the footage of them buying drugs from someone in front of the house, AND the body cam video before I stop questioning their actions. I don't trust acevedo, I don't like this police union guy and his draconian speeches, I respect police officers and I back them in their day to day tasks. I do however feel they need to be held to a higher standard, and think they get away with a lot of stuff that most people would be thrown into a dark hole for.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
Acevedo is on the TV right now giving updates. Both about the wounded officers and about the investigation, apparently IA and some special investigative team are looking into everything. I think an outside source needs to come in, and if negligence is found we need to run Art out of town for good. Make sure he doesn't work as a police chief ANYWHERE.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
I'm just glad that people on this forum are not blindly following and swallowing the official story and slapping down anyone who questions. I got smacked around on facebook yesterday for asking why Michael Berry had the union leader on to spout more of his "We'll get you if you say bad things about us" rhetoric.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
Ive seen where Acevedo said multiple times that the officers DO NOT wear cameras on raids... WHY?
I've also heard that at some point before this, the UCs bought heroin off someone in front of or near the house, wouldn't that also be recorded normally? Could the cops be so stupid as just say "Since we bought drugs in front of THIS house, there must be drug dealers inside!" All of this stinks, and the officers union leader's words were a bit odd as well. Anyone speaking ill about LEOs are in his cross hairs and they "Have your number" sounds odd to me. We will probably never know the truth, as would be the idea behind a cover up if this was a bad raid.

One thing is certain. The only witnesses are the ones who were busting down doors and shooting anything in their way. The couple has a clean record. well liked by those in the neighborhood. A reputation surpassing Acevedo and his department.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray
I read another article stating that the undercovers had bought heroin from someone in front of the house. If that is true, surely there is video of that right? Otherwise how could you use it to obtain a warrant or for an investigation? Lets see that video showing them buying heroin from one of the two people who were killed.
