Re: SCOTUS Unanimously Rules against Trump Ballot removal

It had to go that way...but I admit I'm surprised at the unanimous decision.

So much for the argument that it was only the conservative judges legislating from the bench.

Thank you, SCOTUS, for helping reaffirm that America is still America...and not Venezuela or Cuba. :???:

I wonder if it was Bud Light. The latest numbers are in. The estimate now is that deciding to use transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to promote Bud Light has cost Budweiser as much as $1.4 billion in sales. That right there ain't chicken feed. https://www.abc12.com/news/business/bud-ligh...

Re: Paul Howe Video - CSAT 100-7 Rifle Drill

I watched this the other day. I can do all of it……except the running part. If I have to run, I guess I’ll just go home to Jesus. One of the forum members we don't see much anymore, a great guy named G.C. Montgomery, told me years ago about a Paul Howe rifle course he took in Nacogdoches. ...

Just as I thought...They had an ARSENAL! At least non of them are black, so not "Assault Acorns".
But those right there are most definitely high-capacity acorns!

Re: Mountain Lion Encounter

Although he didn’t run, I wonder about continuing to retreat like he did versus just standing still. He could have tripped walking backwards like he did and provided an opportunity for that lion to pounce. Yep. Backing up on rough ground with staring down a mountain lion is a good way to fall. Safe...

Re: TX:The mean streets of Houston - Here, hold my beer

No firearm discharged that I can tell--though the one identified perpetrator did threaten to "shoot up" his old workplace--so maybe this doesn't belong here at all. But, you know, because among large counties nationwide Harris County ranks #3 in "worst drunk-driving problem," thi...

Re: 2024 NRA B.O.D. ballot

The only tip about the NRA Board elections is that it's an aggregate summation game. In other words, if someone votes for A, B, and C; I vote for A & B; and TAM votes only for A, then A carries the vote. It isn't exactly like you dilute your votes the more people you vote for, but it sorta kinda...

Re: My Bank Account Hates it When New Guns are Announced

Don't ever look at or handle a Fusion Firearms pistol or your bank account might just collapse. Very nice pistols with lots of good features at a very good price. I have 4 and number 5 is on the way in a little different build. Bantam in the 357 Sig caliber for edc. I've never shot a Fusion. I have...

Re: Can the USPS get any worse?

For us, it's not just the USPS in general, but the doofuses they hire to handle mail. Our local mail carrier looks like some hillbilly from the backwoods, and is constantly messing up people's mail (we have one of those community mailboxes): putting mail in the wrong box, putting parcels in the wro...

Our HOA just enacted an acorn standard capacity regulation. Our trees are now allowed to drop no more than 10 acorns per day or we will be fined $250 for each day we go over 10.

Don't know exactly where this might fit, topic-wise, but this video hosts the ever-lucid Victor Davis Hanson, and he does a good job summarizing what's happened during the Biden administration...and what we face next November. From the YouTube TRIGGERnometry channel: "This Will Be The Nastiest,...

Re: Credit card sized one shot pistol

A friend bought a Switch .22 mag repeater. He test fired it into the end of an oak log. It bounced off barely leaving a dent. I'm with Puma Guy. If I were going to go with something of a similar ilk I think it would be the Bond Arms Defender ...though at 20 ounces net it isn't exactly credit-card s...
