Re: No place but Virginia

Oh my Gracious Lord! If you'd told me about that and hadn't had the video to back it up, I probably wouldn't have believed it. Can we get a time machine, go back to the Reagan administration, and get like a 32-year do-over? Or maybe even Ike Eisenhower for a 65-year do-over? 2021 is so...so...just messed up.

Re: No place but Virginia

Following the Virginia gubernatorial race the past few weeks, I've seen maybe a half-dozen conversations/interviews with Winsome Sears. And I gotta tell ya...I like her! Smart, grounded, eloquent, logical. I think The Old Commonwealth made good decisions yesterday.

Richmond city council approves gun ban at or adjacent to an event requiring a permit from the city.
Virginia needs to change its state motto. Sic Semper Tyrannis. "Thus always to tyrants." Said supposedly by Marcus Brutus as Caesar was assassinated. The motto was adopted in 1776 on the heels of the American Revolution and embodied the Declaration of Independence in the bloody fight for freedom against the monarchy.

Caesar's last words were to his friend Brutus, "Et tu, Brute?" Virginia: the home of George Washington and the militia he gathered to help defeat the British, the militia of farmers who marched into battle carrying their own muskets, the same guns they used to put food on the family table.

You too, Virginia?
