LOL, John Taylor Gatto got the downlow on how the Ivy Leagues accept students. Its not how smart they are. Ivy League admission is based on if the person will be rich or famous when they grow up. If their parents are rich or the student is already famous, that's an easy one for the admissions to accept. It means nothing more than that. In my experience Harvard's students and graduates are not especially bright and their coursework is easy. You can get a better education elsewhere. MIT is down the street and it is a much better school.
It seems like a strange way to recruit for a college sports conference, but I suppose if your athletic conference can't compete with the likes of the SEC or ACC in team sports, you can stroke the fragile egos of the rich and famous by claiming to be above such things. :lol:
