Re: Crypto-currencies

Alright - I'm late to the party....cliff notes? My summary: (snipped for length) I think that summarizes it. :tiphat: Appreciate it! :tiphat: There is risk with anything, even breathing these days!! :biggrinjester: Hey, I'll give you my best stock tip ever - but you'd have to go into the way back t...

Re: Self driving vehicles creep me out. How will feds mandate purchases?

Think pilots of planes used auto-pilot or captains of ships? Pssssst, they do... I've used it while at sea (more for comfort than anything, I've always still been at the helm, easier to use that than making constant course corrections due to wind, current, ,waves, etc.)...however, a bit different t...

Re: Self driving vehicles creep me out. How will feds mandate purchases?

It's quite simple....Feds pass "The Motor Law"...reminds me of a certain song from a Canadian band...."Red Barchetta." My view: "They can have my human-driving, petrol-burning noise machine/hot rod when they pry the steering wheel from my cold, dead hands!!!" I've drive...

Re: Motor homes

TAM: check the Jeep’s owner manual regarding flat towing, it will have very specific info for being flat-towed. Usually the “Tow” button is for that vehicle towing a trailer.

Re: Motor homes

Wife and I returned a month ago from a 22 day Racing/working trip at Indy and Milwaukee. We were in our Tiffin Phaeton the whole time, dragging the 33’ Race trailer along the way. That’s the longest RV trip we’ve done. I love our coach but I was REALLY glad to get back home, even if only for a few d...

Re: Advice/Input on Making a Supply Run to Houston

I appreciate everyone's help/input - after communicating with TAM's fine son last night we decided it might be best to regroup on this a little later. The last thing I want to do is become stranded somewhere and then take additional resources because of it. I know the misery will continue for awhile...

Re: Advice/Input on Making a Supply Run to Houston

I'm in the air now heading home and I just got word that the local (Grapevine) fuel stations are out. My coach has an almost full tank. It it's going to be tight by the time I head out to get the trailer, load up etc. I'm think it might be wiser to wait a few days to do the DFW run.

Advice/Input on Making a Supply Run to Houston

Some buddies and I are planning to make a supply run to Houston either this Friday or next week - I'd appreciate any input on specific locations to deliver said supplies and recommended items. I've got a 4x4 dually crew cab and a 28' enclosed trailer. We plan on filling it up with bottled water - wh...

Re: Mexico: tourist drinks spiked at resorts. Many die but stories covered up

This story specifically (and others like it) are the reasons I do not venture there. I think I've seen this post before. We've been asked by our customers to exapand there but I do not view it as worth the risk for a few (even million) dollars more. Guaranteed that I would be a prime kidnapping susp...

Re: Ed Calderon Weaponology

BTW: I found this thread most informative as I regularly travel to foreign countries/NPE areas. In the USA I typically bring a blade with me but I've reconsidered my options/knife after reading this thread. I do like the effectiveness of your setup.

Re: Ed Calderon Weaponology

Andy (the Pig Sticker - I figure the title is appropriate! :biggrinjester: ), THANK YOU for this most interesting and informative thread! I don't post on here much but, WOW, this is quite eye opening! Can you share with me your technique/hand hold of your knife when attacking the swine please? I was...
