Re: WTS/FTF/DFW: Kimber 1911, Colt Gold Cup, Ruger LCP + amm

As far as camera equipment, I keep going back and forth between the Pentax k-x and the Nikon D90 and a 50mm prime.

A couple of people have asked for pics, so I will try to get them up tonight when I get home from work.

WTS/FTF/DFW: Kimber 1911, Colt Gold Cup, Ruger LCP + ammo +

Well, some of you may have noticed I have been gone for a while...my daughter was born July 23, 2009 and I've been quite busy since then. Nowadays, I do more shooting of cameras than of guns and am wanting to buy a nice DSLR instead of my P&S. Unfortunately, the funds aren't there, so its time t...

Re: What Have I lost?

We had a Supreme court decision demanding that we have the RKBA .. They were unanimous in the decision that it is indeed a collective right. During most of our lives there wasn't a clear statement from our Supreme court. I'm sure you meant that they ruled it was an individual right, correct? ;-) :t...

Re: Kempf Gun Shop

I bought and use the kit regularly. You should add the advanced powder measure, and the auto primer. Other than that, Lee's reloading book is one of the best. Buy a set of calipers and a digital scale at a hardware store and you are good to go. Swing by a gun show or Bass Pro or somewhere for some p...

Re: Feeling Stimulated???

I read an article on Townhall.com a little earlier. It said if you were to start spending the day Jesus was born and spend a million dollars every single day, you still wouldn't have spent a trillion dollars.

Sobering thought. Our politicians are insane or stupid.

Re: GUN CONTROL BILL FILED IN HOUSE - 01/06/09

I could have sworn registration was completely unconstitutional...If this does come to pass, hopefully I will win the lottery before it happens so I can afford the attorney bills. Some of my firearms have been in my family 100+ years. I seriously doubt I would participate in a national registration....

Re: Prep for hard times

LT, That picture reminds me of my early childhood. When I was growing up I thought that the only reason adults had children was for them to weed the garden and pick the vegetables. :smilelol5: We even had a pretty large grapevine. There's nothing like fresh vegetables just picked from the backyard....

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?

On another forum, somebody asked about a proper 30.06 sign being posted at the entrance to an apartment complex. It was my understanding that the 30.06 statute was not designed or able to enforce unlawful carry on ones premises and that a citizen's apartment was considered their premises. Does anybo...

Re: Generator Sizing

If its for your home, the easiest way would be to look at your electric bill and take the Kw/hrs and divide it by 744(hours in a month with 31 days, adjust depending on month). This will give you your average usage over time. Next throw in a conservative factor such as 120% and you should be in the ...

I have one, it came with the aftermarket ATI stock and it broke. I have been meaning to send it in for months now and haven't gotten around to it. It's a fun plinker, but leave the stock alone.

Re: McCain's VP-- Surprise!!!!

I just pray that she pulls enough of the women vote to offset the fact that she does nothing to shore up any of the battleground states.

We'll see. It's an interesting choice, to say the least.
