Re: It's been a while...
Good to hear from you and glad you are enjoying Colorado. How do the laws compare to carrying here in Texas? All in all, they're pretty similar in most regards. You can open carry without a license, but no one really open carries. Generic 'no guns allowed' signs carry no weight of law, you can carr...

Re: What is status Restoration of Gun Rights in Austin?
Why keep paying Texas when the legislature keeps blocking real reform? because growing the number of LTCs sends a message to Austin (legislature). Apparently the message is they can drag their heels on restoring gun rights and we're fool enough to keep voting for them and keep paying for an overpri...

"I don't like that I can't carry more places, so I'll give up the ability to legally carry outside my car, home or property under my control." He can carry a rifle without a license and depending where he goes, it's a good possibility he'll have to disarm less often than a LTC carrying a ...

If HB 560 doesn't pass, I probably won't renew my TX LTC no matter what happens with HB 1911.

Looking at some of these timelines, it seems DPS should testify in favor of HB 1911 to help them manage their workload.

I-495 does not enter the district, but Maryland has its own problems. When visiting the area, the best strategy is to overnight on the VA side. Take the metro into the city. Stay in the touristy or business areas and get back to VA before dark.

No FFL is required. The teen can buy it himself. An 80% kit is, by definition, not a firearm.Blackie wrote:he cannot purchase a handgun from an FFL (Federal law), but he can buy a handgun
from an individual at 18. You can probably purchase the kit, and gift it to him.

Primary Arms has 30rd solid black PMAGs on sale for $9.99 and it looks like the M2 and M3 are both available at that price. If you want windows the price goes up a few bucks.
Palmetto State Armory has five 30rd PMAGs and a rifle case for $59.99, as well as the $6.99 aluminum mags already mentioned.

Either way, we still "get to have" Obamacare, I still don't have insurance because the gov't won't let me have a subsidy and they've priced insurance out of the reach of most people without the subsidy, I still have to pay a fine to the IRS, and all of that is now entirely the fault of th...

What do businesses have to do to prohibit unlicensed carry now? Why change that simply because unlicensed carry is expanded from long guns to include handguns?

Re: Let's talk knives.
A little Kershaw Shuffle, with me all the time. That's a nice utility knife, especially with the bottle opener, but I wouldn't recommend it as a self defense knife. On the other hand, I don't really like folders as self defense knifes after doing some practical HTH training. My EDC is a Spyderco SA...
