Re: Brandishing

No relationship to the property (asked to protect it, legal duty, etc), so probably at risk of something if the police or the family decide to push it.

Stop the Bleeding

Just got through a "Stop the Bleeding" class at MedStar in Fort Worth. Really good 2 hour refresher on tourniquets, pressure bandages, etc. You can find their next offering on their website. Pretty good info for free.

Re: Maximum LTC Class Size ?

I think there was a giant, like 700 people class at a high school around fort worth. Maybe it was in Dalworthington Gardens? seems like it was offered for teachers, if I recall. I don't remember seeing any max class size mentioned in instructor training. I've gone the other way, with a 1 person clas...

Re: Range Rental - North Fort Worth ??

I wouldn't beat on a range owner because they don't want to let you qualify your students there. Opening a range is a huge investment in money and time. Add in the liability they're taking on and it would seem logical for the owner to make sure they control every aspect of shooting that goes on in t...

Re: New Glock convert? We will see.

I have a fleet of 4 Gen4 17s that I use in training classes. They've been dropped, bumped into stuff and fired thousands of times each. I've replaced the recoil spring assemblies once on each pistol, but other than cleaning them, no other maintenance. They're great training guns. No extra levers to ...

Keeping Records for 6 Years

I guess I missed the start of this requirement to keep the records for 6 years vs. 3 years. It looks like it counts after March 15 of this year. I didn't know about this until the renewal class today. Anyone remember when this was announced? TITLE 37 PUBLIC SAFETY AND CORRECTIONS PART 1 TEXAS DEPART...
