Re: "Potentially addicted" per my doctor

I did try melatonin. Kept me awake for most of the night, then, as you noted, some really wild nightmare dreams. Way worse than my normal REM disturbances. Maybe I should try again. Sucks! I think the key may be "sustained release melatonin". At least that's the suggestion I've seen some ...

Re: 61 Minute of Angle Zero Shift with Vortex Viper Red Dot Sight

Well, it turns out that the glass had actually shifted a little bit within the housing of the Viper RDS, which in turn pushed the red dot askew resulting in the drastic shift in POI. I'm glad the Vortex Rep who called me actually took the time to look it over while we were on the phone, because the...

Re: TEMU online store

A search for information revealed this tidbit: Is Temu reliable? The Better Business Bureau, which analyzes companies based on reviews and complaints and also offers a place for people to share feedback on businesses, says it gave Temu a C-minus rating in part because 581 complaints have been submit...

Re: 61 Minute of Angle Zero Shift with Vortex Viper Red Dot Sight

Thanks for the feedback! The G-19 is the only pistol I currently have that the Viper RDS fits on so I didn't swap it out, but I'm confident it was the optic & not the gun. I could look at the dot through the optic, and then refocus on the front sight & see how far off it was from the point ...

Saw that too. Hey, when you're spending US Taxpayer dollars on equipment, instead of your own money, why not gift yourself to the max.
It's what politicians and criminals do all the time; trade up using OPM (Other People's Money).

Re: 61 Minute of Angle Zero Shift with Vortex Viper Red Dot Sight

Wow, that's a lot of shift. Not drift; but shift. Interesting information and a good video of the issue. You did not come off as bashing Vortex; just a presentation of your data and a path forward to resolve. Like you, I've heard Vortex CS is excellent. Hopefully, they investigate to determine the c...

Re: Renewal payment

A call, as suggested, to DPS is probably the way to go. In the meantime, you might try clearing your browser cache and cookies and giving it another try. Sometimes these things interfere.
Just a thought.

Re: CZ 97 .45ACP Anyone shoot one?

I know viewing traffic here on the forum is very low these days compared to the past, but wondered if any one has one of the pistols. I have acquired a CZ 97 .45 ACP and am not at all familiar with that pistol. Seems to be well made, large and very heavy (not really suitable for CCW in my opinion) ...

Re: Academy asking unnecessary questions

I was killing some time yesterday in the gun section of a local Academy and overheard the manager talking to a guy who was buying a gun. In addition to reviewing the paperwork he verbally asked the guy two questions: “Do you have a way to securely store this firearm in your home”? “What will you be...

John Cornyn is an idiot. He's giving away our rights. So worthless and weak. I wrote him a letter this week and told him so.

Re: Help Convincing HR to Allow Carry

Hey guys, long time no post. But I have an old friend of mine who needs some help. The company she works for has a 3rd party HR department, and they don't like carry. However, the CEO does approve of license holders carrying in the building. The landlord company of the building also does not prohib...

Re: Bill Clinton: I’m back

That's easy to figure out. Hillary is fixin' to run for President, they need a place to stash the payola cash bribes. She oversold herself in 2016; when she lost, the cash dried up.
Now with her running again, she's preselling presidential influence.......again.

Re: TX: Lubbock potential self defense death occurs

I don't see this as coming out well for the shooter no matter what. There was no property being taken or threatened (according to the news article) and no person being threatened until he brought the gun out. That makes criminal trespass the only crime the deceased committed. Unfortunately, Texas l...

Re: Police stop girl in OHIO from killing. BLM off and running!

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I'm very certain this is the plan. 1. Incapacitate the local police. Make sure that they cannot do their jobs and that there are not enough of them to act if they wanted to. I suggest that we have already reached that point in parts of most of the big cities. I do ...
