Re: 870, or 887?

I like the 870. It has a long and good history.

Re: Eotech Red Dot is it worth it?

I like my Eotech because of its large field of view.

I debated getting something else that has a longer battery life, but field of view was more important to me than battery life.

A Rodney Dangerfield Style Gun Joke

I was a Shot Show.

I went to the Troy booth and said to the salesman, “Let me see your newest Battle Ax.”

He took out his wallet and showed me a picture of my wife.

Re: Who Uses A Tipton Gun Cleaning Vise?

I use the Tipton vise. I like it for scope mounting and other minor work.

It is not designed to be a platform for times when serious torque is needed. I have a real vise for that.

Re: Geissele Triggers

I'm a fan of Geissele Triggers. I have then in all my lowers. After reading the descriptions of the triggers, I decided that the Super Dynamic 3 Gun was best for my shooting.

Re: airsoft for training

I have two airsoft pistols for training: Sig P229 and P226. KJWorks and Tokyo Marui are good brands.

Re: Flying Question

I have flown to Alaska and many other states with my handgun, rifle, or both. I've never had any trouble. Here is my handgun routine on United Airlines: Unload my Sig P229 and put it in the original Sig gun case. The case is hard plastic, so it meets airline rules. Put my carry knife in the gun case...

Re: UTG/Leapers Scopes

I have a UTG scope on my air rifle, but would not put a UTG scope on a real gun.

I'm interested in both the KSG and the UTAS. What are the key differences?

Re: Houston Gun Collectors Show April 20 - 21, 2013

I attended the show. It looked to me like prices are coming down on guns and magazines. I saw Pmags Gen 2 and Gen 3 for $16.99 and less. That's a big drop from $50 prices. I saw five or six Kel-Tec KSG shotguns. That's the most I've seen in any one place. I saw two Tavor rifles, but both were priced...

Re: Airsoft Guns

My airsoft experience is limited to replicas of guns I own because I use airsoft for practicing scenarios. You can get replicas of real guns that are similar in size, weight, and manual of arms to real guns. You can also get something that behaves more like a toy. I think the best quality is Tokyo M...

Re: Air rifles....

I have two air rifles that I bought recently. One is a surprisingly accurate BB gun: the Daisy Avanti Champion 499. It claims to be the most accurate BB gun in the world. From my experience with it, I don't doubt the claim. I use it mostly for indoor target shooting. I have a pellet trap that works ...

Re: Who has used Freedom Munitions ammo?

I use Freedom Munitions.

They are going fast as they can to get orders shipped. They are overwhelmed with orders like everyone else.

I used to buy online until they opened a store in Houston.
