He's right up there with Bullet Hole Ellis. Ellis was shot by Missouri guerrilla leader William Quantrill, whom he had previously (pre-war) given a teaching certificate.

I would much rather see them have a lawful demonstration outside of school hours.

Re: ball vs flat vs hollow point for range ammo?

For general-purpose range shooting in .45 ACP, I like semi-wadcutters, especially the H&G 68. Those feed well through my Colt, and they make nice, big, easy to see holes in the paper. If you're keeping score, they leave little doubt about which ring they cut - or didn't.

I think he may win his case. Check this out. https://www.asha.org/public/hearing/Recreational-Firearm-Noise-Exposure/ "People who do not wear hearing protection while shooting can suffer a severe hearing loss with as little as one shot , if the conditions are right. Audiologists see this often...

Re: TX: Nine-shot .38 used in shooting...

Long shot: Glock 38?

I once overheard a gun counter discussion where the clerk and customer were confusing a Glock 38 (8+1 .45 GAP, IIRC) with a .38 caliber pistol.

Re: Shooting @ Central Michigan University

"At least two people were shot dead in what authorities said was a domestic issue at a dormitory at Central Michigan University on Friday morning and police were searching for the gunman."

"The university said no one was injured by the gunfire."

I'm confused.

Re: Not watching the Superbowl

I haven't been watching since last season, once it became clear that the coaches, owners, and the league weren't going to discipline players for insulting this nation while in team uniforms with NFL logos.

I might watch the Puppy Bowl, though. Less talk, more said.

Re: .357 Magnum Loaded to Lower Levels by Remington?

Remington still has a 1450 fps 125 gr .357 Magnum load, listed as UMC. It may be that they have reconsidered what constitutes a defense load vs a hunting load, and changed the label to fit the current market.

I have served on a jury before; it was also educational, and not quite as boring once things got started. I agree that it is a vital part of our society and should be handled respectively. If I were the defendant I would certainly want everybody to do so. Enjoy! Jeff Ditto. And this: The defendants...

Re: Audie Murphy "To Heck and Back"

He believed in making himself as small a target as possible when he fought in combat. Wonder what he would think of the modern stances such as The Weaver and The Isosceles when in "self-defense" mode. He didn't exactly make a small target, firing a .50 BMG from the top of that burning tan...
