Now that it's passed, I have a question. I am an employee of the Federal Government. I park in a government leased parking lot. There is a rule in our employee handbook that we are not allowed to posses a weapon in our vehicles on Government leased property. Guns are otherwise allowed in the parking lot. This law will cover me even thought I'm an employee of the Federal Government, correct?

to be fair, over 2000 bills were proposed this year, so I can see how its hard to be up on all of them. But, if the aides haven't done the research to fill a Rep in on it, maybe he should get some better aides instead of asking silly questions on the floor. I feel so ashamed that these are collectively our representatives and they have no CLUE what the bill is about and what it provides, while I am sitting at home and completely understand the bill myself. This is close to embarrassing.

Yes, amendments have passed, but the first two were introduced by the authors of the bill I believe. This fourth amendment does not seem to be a bad amendment, but just clarifying information mostly to protect employers. Is this correct?

So you're in danger in one of these places. So much in danger you would need to fire and draw. That handgun in the hands of a lawful abiding citizen is MORE dangerous than the life-threatening condition by a non law-abiding citizen that causes the gun to be drawn?!?!?

SB321 passed the Senate unanimously, and the Republicans have a 2:1 majority in the House. I don't see any way HB681 fails if it gets to a vote.

I think the main concern if I've heard correctly is keeping amendments from being added to carve out exemptions for certain groups/industries.
