Re: Kenosha Wisconsin Shooter discussion

Why is the FBI not filing charges against people they most likely have identified. https://rumble.com/voqrtz-jack-posobiec-fbi-agent-testifies-off-camera-in-kyle-rittenhouse-trial.html My first guess is because they weren't in Washington DC on January 6 ... Where people seem to be persecuted and ca...

Re: Massad AyoobGroup MAG20, late Sept.

Well, I went to the MAG20 classroom portion this past weekend and all I can say is WOW!! I learned more about the legal side of self defense than I ever thought possible. I'm still processing the material that came at us drinking from a fire hose! Ayoob is every bit the professional trainer and coac...

Re: Revolvers

While I'm basically a 1911 guy, I find myself carrying my j-, frame almost exclusively for the last 5-6 years.

Mostly downsized because I now strictly WFH and it was lighter.

But I'm quite partial to revolvers myself. An elegant weapon from a more civilized time. ;)

Re: Pocket Carry No Holster

And except in the case of something like the little NAA mini-derringers, pocket carry without a holster is usually quite uncomfortable. Guns seem to develop solid sharp edges in one's pocket :)

Re: what is your preferred zero distance

. I shoot for heart and lungs for anything 250yds or less. Greater than that and I shoot for the spinal column about half way up the neck. My thought process (and I may be off but it's what I've always been taught) is that with a longer shot, I'd rather miss than get a hit that isn't immediately fa...

It will run in ESP since the trigger change is visible.

Re: Why do I need to carry spare ammo?

This supports what I've always presumed, as well. I've never been in a gunfight, so I'm not speaking from experience, but it is clear, very clear, than most armchair combatants severely underestimate the level of stress they'll experience when they see an attacker's muzzle pointed at them and a fin...

Re: Safe / unsafe areas to stay for NRA meeting

There's there hotel at the convention center, assuming it's not sold out. I have no idea of the rates. North end, I'd be looking in the south end of the woodlands on I45, the are several business,-class hotels in the area. Comfort inn and I believe a holiday inn express. Outer side of beltway 8 is b...
