Re: Navy Federal C U ???
I recently did an auto loan through RBFCU, and I was very pleased with them. If I were going to refinance my mortgage or take out any new loan, I would strongly consider them. They have a decent number of branches throughout DFW, they've got great rates, and their customer service is pretty good.

Re: HB2622 passes , creates sanctuary state
The GFSZA is a federal law. Does this mean local and state officials can’t enforce it? If I'm not mistaken I believe that HB2622 refers to new federal gun laws passed after the date of the bill. I could be mistaken, though. Thanks. There is a reference to January 19, 2021. HB2622 covers any federal...

Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now
If I'm reading this correctly, 30.06 and 30.07 signs do not apply to unlicensed carry. Is that right? That means that unlicensed Texas will be able to carry in tens of thousands of locations that are currently off-limits to license holders due to 30.06 and 30.07 signs. That seems kind of backwards....

Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now
Sections 46.03(a) (7), (11), and (13) do not apply to license holders, and (7) is the prohibition against carrying in a 51% establishment. Does that mean that 51% bars will be removed from the list of off-limits places? No. If they properly post 30.06/7 or the 51% sign it is still an off-limits loc...

Re: Any updates?
I love Amendment 22! It should have been in the original Open Carry bill. I just hope it doesn't turn into a poison pill.
What was 21 about? Does this bill allow permitless carry on college campuses?

http://reason.com/blog/2018/05/02/black-gun-owner-will-give-birth-in-priso According to the article, she brandished her legally-owned firearm at a neighbor who intentionally rammed her car. Texas SD8: Huffines Or Paxton?
There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on either candidate other than your typical boilerplate Republican positions. Both candidates have run attack ads accusing the other of supporting liberal causes candidates, though I have no idea if there's any through to them. A recent TSRA email said t...

Re: H.R.38: National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act
How would this bill affect the ability of state and local governments to prohibit concealed carry at locations not covered by (b)(2)? In other words, would states still be able to ban concealed carry at so-called "sensitive locations" such as bars, hospitals, churches, etc.? Section (c)(1)...

Re: SB 16 - priority bill, reduction of LTC fees
Guess I got bad info that it had passed a vote and was a done deal. My bad. Tired of carve outs for cops - they have been wrong on every citizen carry bill that has passed, but the legislature still makes special exemptions for them. Wondering who made the amendment that could possibly delay/kill t...

Re: SB 16 - priority bill, reduction of LTC fees
According to another thread on this board, the amendment reduces the cost even further, to $15 - http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlodocs/85R/amendments/faspdf/SB00016H21.PDF That's not what the amendment does. It eliminates the fee for peace officers. It's still $40 for the rest of us. My bad... I g...
