Re: Another Taser Death Raises Eyebrows To New Levels

If this went the way it was described in the post above, I'd hate to try and explain this one. If the person was a threat, that would be one thing, but it doesnt sound like it above.

Re: Wives, friends, peers must be familiar w/ your guns.

Had an ex-girlfriend threaten to do that--once.... She couldnt understand why I left VERY shortly after. I told her the guns were there before she was, and would be there after she was gone. I guess she didnt think I meant it til I broke things off.

Re: Another Taser Death Raises Eyebrows To New Levels

As a PO, we do have to justify using this tool if we use it. Our training did include being told that these devices have been involved in incidents where the suspect has died, but that it was not due to the use of the Taser, but rather the suspects drug use. Tests have been done with probes being pl...

Re: First aid ,CPR after shooting?

As has been said, unless you have back-up, call for help and let EMS handle it.

i always keep an extra gun on me, and any time i shoot my main weapon, it is replaced by another loaded one on my body, sometimes concealed, sometimes not.

got one y'all might like. This was during a training excercise/publicity stunt where we were supposed to be acting as the criminal element to make a fed agency look good. Well, several of us got voluntold to play along during our leave time so we figured that being on leave and all, and still being ...

you could, but the lenght difference between the cases might be a headache, especially at first. Also, you gotta consider that .45 acp almost always uses .451 diameter bullets, and the .45 colt, depending on manufacturer and age of weapon, varies from .450 to .455, at least the ones that friends and...

just checked the handbook. Not even close to 30.06 compliant. And here i was thinking it might be a valid prohibition on carrying. Guess it is just my job on the line. But that beats my life being on the line.

Sounds clear as mud to me. All jokes aside though. I understand that i am putting my job on the line if i carry at work. I can live with that risk. Just wanted a secondary opinion about the legal aspects of this action. Just another reason for me to carry at work happened last night. I was asked to ...

the lot isnt posted in any way, correct or otherwise. I work second shift, so get out around 930-1000pm. No offense, but as much as i appreciate the recommendation about getting someone to walk out with me, i am a 26yo male and one of the few vets working there, at least on my shift that i know of. ...

carry in a hospital?

I know this has been chewed over but been told of recent changes/revisions and just want to make sure i have this right. I work in a hospital. Some entrances are posted, others are not. Even the posted ones do not have the .30-06 but instead read "state law prohibits carrying of a handgun on th...

I voted no as did most of you, so dont hang me just yet. I have talked to several DPS troopers who said they agree with us wearing badges, as has been said above, for the sake of if something does happen, they are less likely to shoot us if we are showing them a badge in a high stress situation. I c...
