Re: Handgun storage in car when not carrying into business
Personally I use the small Nano-Vault attached with the steel cable to the underside of the seat. Simply slip out of the holster and secure in the vault under the seat. In the car prefer to have on my body.

Re: 45 Brass Life Expectancy
Lots of .45 brass (military) stamped in the 50s & 60s that I am still loading. Just keep loads at the mild level and inspect every reloading

Re: Emergency bag in trunk
I pack the aluminum bag tuna, salmon and spam along with crackers in zip lock bags. Protein and crackers. For spouse and me, we don't need much to subsist for a couple of days, water is more important. Have not had a real issue with summer heat as I generally rotate the stuff out every three months ...

Re: Emergency bag in trunk
Every vehicle has an emergency box: Flashlight, jumper cables, folding knife, multi-tool, first aid kit (more than just band-aids!), duct tape, couple of water bottles (changed out on a regular basis), hat, rain poncho, sweat shirt, extra socks, some stable food, matches dipped in wax, couple of can...

Re: Armed Teachers - what am I seeing incorrectly?
Agree with SewTexas. Armed teachers would be to defend students, not clear rooms and search for intruder. Hunker down, barricade, wait for the cavalry and be prepared to resist if BG comes into the classroom.

Friendlier communities, people that do not think guns are inherently evil, lets buyers buy a product made in a less union dominated state....What is not to like.

Re: Plated as a compromise?
For pistol reloads all I use are plated and lead (mostly plated in semi s). Have loaded and fired thousands of Berry's on 9mm 115 &124, .40 in 165 & 180, and ,45 in 200. As long as you keep velocities somewhat moderate, should be no issue. Think my last order from PV for 115gr 9mm was about ...

Re: Traveling with Firearm inside Texas
Unloaded; locked in a hard-sided case; ammo in boxes (preferably original or re-used originals); in CHECKED bag. My usual "patter" upon arriving at the counter for check-in is to show my photo ID and state loud enough for the agent to hear, but NOT loud enough for others, "I am declar...

Nice choice. I have 3 Rocks, 2 GI Models and a Compact tactical. All are great and all are more reliable than my Series 70 Colt

Re: March 11-14, 2014 Instructor Class
Matt Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. As a matter of fact, I was thinking of bringing both a back up semi and revolver. Would not have worried about either except last weekend at my first revolver practice in a while, had a problem with my S&W Model 19 having a light strike on several rou...

Re: March 11-14, 2014 Instructor Class
Matt Thanks for the information. I won't be needing a hotel as I am only 45 minutes from Georgetown and have to drive by the DPS facility in Florence to get there, but good information. Any info on the classes and test? Not looking for answers, but format. IE: 50 minute classes with break, 2 hours w...

Buy the printer. I too would be leary of providing all that information on a small businees web site, particularly after all the cc compromises that have hit big busineeses that employ IT departments have had lately.
You can get fairly inexpensive BW laser printers that are reasonably portable.

Re: Bought my first Mosin today
Have a couple of 91/30s, a 38 carbine and a pair of Finn Model 39s. The Finns are a joy and dead accurate. After firing 5 rounds from the 38 carbine, my then, 18 year old son put it down, rubbed his shoulder and state, "Those Russians must have been pretty tough to shoot this." Shoot, clea...

Re: Obama nominates anti-gun radical for Surgeon General
Just like his ambassadorial appointments of political cronies, yes men, and those willing to seel their souls to advance his agenda. Ambassors that can't find the country on a map, don't know the form of government of the country or that hire "Ladies of the evening" probably using taxpayer...
