Re: NRA Annual Meeting 2024 in Dallas
Report from the TSRA Executive Director was that as of the end of the show, TSRA had signed up a total of 143 new members in various membership categories. I would expect a few more to trickle in from folks who took literature, but did not sign up at the show. Wife and I will be back next time it is...

Re: Seeking Holosun Advice
I have the Holosun 407 x2 on my 48. I went with the Green. Love it. As for mags, I have started using the PSA MicroDagger 15 round mags and after about 500 rounds have not had any issues with them.

Re: NRA Annual Meeting 2024 in Dallas
We signed up more than 60 new members for TSRA on Friday. Hope to do better on Saturday. Need all the support we can get before the next legislative session. Had a great time talking with reps of many of the venders I use. Not as much swag as the last Dallas show, but did get some. Ran into quite a ...

Re: NRA Annual Meeting 2024 in Dallas
Folks at the registration desk should be able to look you up. I am pretty sure that you can have one guest. I solved that problem before the last Dallas Meeting by getting the wife an NRA membership.
Stop over at the TSRA booth which is supposed to be near the registration and say HI.

Re: NRA Annual Meeting 2024 in Dallas
Last time it was in Dallas, I carried both on DART and at the KBH Convention Center no issue. IIRC, when then President Trump spoke, again IIRC, carry was not allowed in the place where he was speaking as that was Secret Service controlled, but the rest of the site was OK.

Re: NRA Annual Meeting 2024 in Dallas
Badges for me and the wife arrived in the mail today. I'll be driving up Thursday and will be at the convention all day Friday. Will be pulling a shift in the TSRA booth sometime probably after lunch. Understand it will be located near the check-in area. Stop by and say hi.

Re: LTC 104
HMMM, as of 1730today I have not received the second email and just got off the RSD site filing a Form 8 for today's class and did not see it. Will take another look shortly.
Edit to add: Form popped in at 1830 this evening. Will be starting to use in my class on Saturday.

Re: LTC 104
Yep, got the same email as I am sure all instructors did. What can be so hard that they cannot get the new form done in four months?
At least I know what form to use in Saturday's class now.

Re: Which is easier to Maintain, a Mini-14 or an AR15
I have a Mini-14 I bought in 1978 and more than one AR platform. Really like the Mini-14 as a rifle to use for odd jobs around the ranch and plinking. Used to have a folding stock for it, but foolishly traded the stock about 1993. That said, the AR is much easier to care for, more options, and signi...

Re: What Distance Should you Zero your AR 15?
When I was active duty, we always zeroed on a reduced size target at 25 meters as POA/POI is coincident at 25 and 300 meters. In between 25 and 300, you may hit a bit high on a human sized target but should still hit. For close HD uses which will generally be less than 25 meters you will still hit C...

Re: LTC 104
Well, here we are at 25 April and RSD claims that the LTC-104 will be available ON 1 May because they do not want anyone to use it before then. We will see. I have a class 30 April (using the LTC-100)and again on 4 May (hopefully with the LTC-104).

Yep, same issues. For me has been going on the better part of a month. Difficulty getting to the site and then having to re-log in every time.

Re: LTC-104 - New form that replaces the LTC-100 & LTC-101's takes effect on 1 May 2024
Yep, like I posted in another thread, they DO NOT answer email and when I called on 18 March, the nice polite person told me that they "Should" have the form available by May and to call back if I had not seen it by mid-May. They tell us that they will not accept an LTC-100 dated after 1 M...

Re: LTC 104
Well, I called RSD this morning and the individual with whom I spoke, though very polite, stated that the form would be AVAILABLE in May and if I have not seen it by the middle of May to call back. I told her that by the middle of May I expect to have taught at least two classes and their email stat...

LTC 104
Back in January I (and I assume all other Instructors) received an email from RSD about the new LTC-104 that would replace the LTC 100 and LTC 101. Their email stated that as of 1 May, 100s and 101s would NOT be accepted. I have emailed RSD 4 times asking when the form will be available (I cannot fi...
