Re: Need a good cowboy hat
Ask the closest farmers or ranch hands where they go for boots. Usually, that's either a real western wear store (possibly with boot, hat and saddle sales and service) or at least a boot maker who will know where the best hats can be found.

Re: EyePro At The Range: It’s Not A Vague Suggestion
Ricochet kicked up a good spray of gravel at me once, hard enough to scratch good safety glasses exactly where I look through to see the front sight. Annoying having to go buy new glasses right then, but beats the alternative every time. I've also had mud splash off a wet berm pepper the glasses, so...

Re: Does a business need to post a 30.07 when they've posted a 30.06 sign?
First, I would not assume that anyone who posts 30.06 also does not want open carry. To me, open carry is a lot less "sneaky" than concealed carry, and for me, I would prefer that a visitor to my property make it clear whether they are armed. I'd rather just know if I'm dealing with a rea...

Re: Lost the sheriff last night
I have a feeling the Texas Rangers will be stepping in on this investigation soon. As I understand it, they already are. I think everyone really wants it sorted out quickly, so anyone not involved can get back to work ASAP. Three deputies off patrol and a sudden change of sheriff is a big impact fo...

Re: Lost the sheriff last night
Now, it makes me wonder just how much trouble he really would have been in. It couldn't possibly have been that bad. For the part that I've heard about, virtually none; seems while he was out of town, one of the deputies found out he was behind on his training hours, logged in as him and took an on...

We already know he's a liberal; probably voted twice.E.Marquez wrote:But who were the two faithless electors? I assume one was Christopher Suprun ..who was the other?
We also know he's an imbecile; hence voting for two different non-candidates.

I want to know where the heck this guy's security-detail was; he was an ambassador, for Pete's sake. Threat analysis - fail. Russian threat analysis: there's always a threat. Stay ready to kill it. Somebody got bribed here, or else the shooter used his police credentials creatively enough to get th...

$$$ in fines wont change anything at all.... Hitlary will pay that change in a heartbeat. However, making it a federal crime to harass an elector should be on the books and FOLLOWED! But isn't it also illegal to offer someone money to do something illegal? What happens if you pay someone in another...

The above link is to the 2008 accident where Brian Loncar's 2008 Bentley tangled with a Dallas fire truck on an emergency call, causing severe injury to Loncar. Who caused the accident? Read the details and good luck sorting it out. Having been surprised by sirens in cars older than that, I'd fully...

Re: Camo Wrapped Shotguns - Do they hold up?
Think I'd go for something in stainless with synthetic hardware, and then GunKote moly disulfide bake-on for the metal parts in the appropriate flat earth tone. That should be as near indestructible as you can get, and worst case, you'll have plenty of GunKote left to redo it if needed. I don't hav...

Not unheard of. A friend had three heart attacks in the days following his brother's suicide. Fortunately he was around family who recognized the symptoms and knew what to do.wheelgun1958 wrote:News report today is he had heart attack.
