Re: Wife says "OK", let the building commence

Now you are learning. 1 AR15 = 1 Dresser. My wife and I have the same arrangement except it is 1 gun = 1 Coach Purse. Man, you get off easy then. My wife's conversion rate is 1 Firearm to 1 Major piece of household furniture or repair/replacement. My Kimber became a Couch, My AR a Dining Room Table...

Re: If the squeegee men were doing this in Texas

Here's a thought...

Couldn't you call the police on them? I mean, they are spraying an unknown substance on your property. For all you know, it could be acid that will eat away at your paint...

I Just graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock in May 2014 and the new signs they have entering campus now are something along the lines of "any carrying of unlicensed firearms beyond this point is prohibited" meaning now you can carry anywhere on TTU campus except inside the buil...

Re: Car Carry vs CHL Carry

Oh hey, it's this again. See the link in my signature for this issue that was settled multiple years ago XD TL;DR: -30.06 applies when you're carrying under CHL only. -CHL is an Exception to 46.02, you don't need a CHL to carry where it's not illegal. MPA makes it not illegal to carry in your car, t...

Re: Common Mistake! Read b4 Submitting Online

Another note on this topic.... If you receive a letter from the DPS requesting documentation of final disposition, you will "NEVER" be able to confirm that DPS actually received the disposition documents if you submit them online. Maybe they have fixed this? I submitted my paperwork onlin...

Re: So.. What exactly do I mail them?

I was told by the CHL instructor that emailing it to them was significantly faster. I scanned the list to PDF and uploaded it through their email contact form and they replied the next day. Their response was "We have received the documents attached to your email. This information will be forw...

Every Time I've dealt with the TABC, they have been nothing short of great.
Always willing to listen, take down the information, and thank you for providing it.

10/10 would call again.

Re: So.. What exactly do I mail them?

I just uploaded my checklist through their system. I never mailed anything. Got my new CHL in 20 days. Alright then, I'll just send them back the sheet they just sent me! :smilelol5: : Gotta love bureaucracy. :thumbs2: For anyone else's reference, I sent them the checklist using this form here...

So.. What exactly do I mail them?

I want to make sure I'm not missing anything... do they really just want me to mail them this checklist that they sent me and nothing else?

Re: Disparity of force (Motorcycle Gang Incident in New York

I've said it before many times, and I'll say it again. The Dashcam I have in my vehicle cost me ~$70, its even cheaper now, $58. I've pulled video from it half a dozen times already in the 6 months I've had it, believe it or not, mostly for non-accident related things. I did get rear ended by a moto...

Re: Road Rage WWUD?

Good tunes and quality vid..I used to use my smart phone as a dash cam, there are many apps out there that have all kinds of cool features and a mount for your phone is cheaper than a dash cam at times. That being said if you can afford it get a dash cam as it is so much easier. Indeed, Mine record...

Re: Road Rage WWUD?

Dashcam. I got mine for $70, Where does one get a $70 dashcam? is it forward and rearward? And how have you used it? Can I produce it as evidence? Mine is forward and audio only, but there are models that do both, as well as track GPS position and speed, but after long hard thought, I didn't need a...

Re: Road Rage WWUD?

:iagree: The officer would have to lie as he must witness in order to issue a citation. Most LEOs I know would not risk their career over this. Not to cause trouble but if this is the case then how do police officers issue citations at accidents when they are not present during the accident? In an ...

Re: Looks like CHL will arrive while on vacation

But as not displaying your CHL is an administrative violation with absolutely no penalty.. it's a non issue.' Well, I finally heard back from the DPS and dicion is correct. If a penalty is not listed, then there isn't one. I guess that was an oversight by the good folks who wrote the statute. Now I...
