Re: Time to donate to the NRA

The boycott of NRA sponsors isn't right so I just joined as a life member. Will encourage others to join.

Re: Kahr firearms informal poll

New PM9 had lots of FTF. Called Kahr they told me this was normal in a new gun and it should clear up after about 500 rounds and call them back if it didn't. They were easy to reach and talk to. He was right after shooting around 400 rounds it has worked flawlessly.

Re: National concealed carry reciprocity

I'm glad this failed. SCOTUS said in Heller that the RKBA was an individual right but that States could place reasonable restrictions. This sounds sensible to me. We need less Federal regulation not more. We need to work within State law to get rid of the unreasonable restrictions. If something like...

Re: Sotomayor reasserts 2nd Amendment doesnt apply to the states

I am not a lawyer or constitutional scholar but the first amendment does say: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to pe...

Re: Are Foreign Nationals allowed to Shoot?

Thanks for all the responses. Looks like we'll have a fun day and a memorable experience for them. They would have no intention of taking the weapons back to Scotland. Gun ownership is heavily regulated there. If you are a landowner you can shoot rifles and shotguns on your own property but they do ...

Re: American Flag Burned Outside Dallas Home, Again

Flag burning isn't arson per the Texas Penal Code unless you could claim that the fire would spread from the flag to something in section 1 or 2 like a building: Sec. 28.02. ARSON. (a) A person commits an offense if he starts a fire or causes an explosion with intent to destroy or damage: (1) any ve...

Re: American Flag Burned Outside Dallas Home, Again

Unfortunately no federal or state flag code is legally enforceable. I wish it wasn't so. The courts have taken a wide view of freedom of expression and decided that flag desecration is protected as are some other activities some would find offensive. In this case you'd have to prosecute the burners ...

Are Foreign Nationals allowed to Shoot?

I have cousin coming over from Scotland next month. I thought I might take her and her husband to the range. They’ve probably never seen a gun in real life being from the UK so should be an interesting experience for them. I was just wondering how the law impacted visitors. If she was a US permanent...

Another Perspective by someone who thinks Palin is doing the right thing. http://stonezone.com/ Palin's Plan By Roger Stone It was 1962. Richard Nixon had had enough. Enough of being called "Tricky Dick, the man no one would buy a used car from." Enough of the elitist derision that had com...

Call or email them right away. I have always found them to be very responsive. They should be able to quickly determine the status of your app.

Re: Sarah Palin resign's as Governor of Alaska

Palin seems to have learned from John Kerry's experience. The Swift Boat guys went after him pretty hard and he just ignored them till it was too late. Palin's lawyer is warning the main stream media and bloggers that she intends to defend against any defamation in court. Looks bad to have to threat...

Re: Sarah Palin resign's as Governor of Alaska

This is from a very Liberal website so this might just be another Palin smear with no real facts. We'll just have to wait and see what she does and what new real news comes out.

Re: Sarah Palin resign's as Governor of Alaska

She commented that every time she left the state her critics filed an ethics complaint against her. All had been dismissed but they were distractions for her, her staff and cost significant money to fight. $2 Million for Alaska and $500k personally. She's not rich. She's a lightning rod for the libe...
