Re: Parking Lot Policy

In my full time job, I work for a company that has a no weapons (of any kind) policy that includes an employee's vehicle. So I will not say anything to anyone. Not even to my friends at work (concealed means concealed). If something happens, I can rest assured I can't be fired for carrying in my veh...

Re: Looking for a New Church

Quote: "avoid discussing Wedgewood altogether - like pointing out that had CHL carry in church been legal at the time, there may have been fewer casualties." FWIW, it was legal at the time, as churches (excepting notice via 30.06) came off the prohibited list Sept. 1, 1997, considerably p...

Re: Looking for a New Church

Retrieverman, Definitely pray about it! And I agree with Hoi, talk to the pastor. It is important that he hears from you about this. Let him know you're not wanting to be Batman or a LEO wannabe. He's going to be sensitive to Wedgewood, so I would probably avoid discussing Wedgewood altogether - lik...

Re: Plano School District has 30.06 posted parking lots

We all had to get the bad advice flushed out of our heads at some time. Doc got some bad advice, possibly in class, and he simply needs to be shown the way. We do have the advantage of legislators, lawyers and LEO on our board that others dont. :iagree: I am even aware of when a DPS attorney has gi...

Re: Plano School District has 30.06 posted parking lots

Fedaykin, You need to read the statute in it's entirety. Notice subsection i of 46.035: (i) Subsections (b)(4), (b)(5), (b)(6), and (c) do not apply if the actor was not given effective notice under Section 30.06. So Church, hosptials, amusement parks have to post a valid 30.06 notice to stop CHL fr...

Re: Baylor Medical Plaza

Here is the statute that makes carrying in a hospital (church, amusement park etc.) legal for chl: 46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE This is what most people see and stop: (4) on the premises of a hospital licensed under Chapter 241, Health and Safety Code, or on the premises of a nurs...

Re: How may of y'all carry to church?

Re: Carrying a Magazine

Unless it is a courthouse or similar place where I'll be searched, I carry all my mags - including the one in my firearm. I also un-chamber the round and take it with me. I did this yesterday at a hospital that is properly posted. If my vehicle is broken into and bg gets the gun, it can't be used on...

Re: Beltman Belt Caution

Saw this post the other night and I immediately checked my belt. One screw was missing and the other was pretty loose. Went to the hardware store last night and bought two new ones so they match, plus some thread locker. My little one brought me one of the pieces about a week ago, but I thought it w...

Re: Action Needed: Employer Parking Lots

I called all of their offices yesterday. Rep. Bohac's staff member asked me for my name and address. Rep. Deshotel's staff member seemed a bit irritated. Hopefully, their phones have been ringing off the hook.

Re: Gun Buster Sign in North Richland Hills

I will not point out to a business that they have an invalid sign. I do not want to correct their ignorance so that they can post a valid 30.06 sign. However, I will let a business that has a valid 30.06 know that they lost me as a customer. I just had not see that particular sign before.

Gun Buster Sign in North Richland Hills

Looking for a quick bite to eat with wife while running errands. Saw this Gunbuster sign at Sandy's Real Chicken Fried on Rufe Snow Drive. Since we were in a hurry, walked on in past the sign and took the pic when we left. Staff was extremely friendly and the food was good. But since they do not wan...
