Re: S&W 1911, what next?
My dad is wanting to buy a gun for me and is trying to find a local seller outlet for a good used on (he lives in Missouri). I am happy with the weapons that I have now, but when he mentioned that he wants to get me one, I am not going to turn it down  . He is a vietnam vet and the ONLY gun th...

S&W 1911, what next?
I'm in love with 1911s. I wouldn't even consider purchasing another design just because it's not as good looking as a 1911. I've got a S&W 1911PD now, but what is the next step from there? I've heard Kimber is nice, what other brands should I look into for my next "upgrade"? Mines a 4&...

So if this establishment is found to be improperly posting that sign, are you still bound by that law on their property?

Re: mental alertness
I've grown up in the 'relative' comfort and bubble of The Woodlands and have never really been on alert (save for bullies in high school  ). I'm mainly getting my CHL because I feel it is the next step "in case I need it", but I figure I'll end up carrying all the time when I'm not he...

Re: FYI- Interesting discovery and Major Duh Alert...
Don't know how much having a gun will help in a situation like that. Shoot them and they still have a timer on the bomb? Shoot the bomb accidentally?

Re: Helping LEOs...
I would help if the situation is right. If someone is in danger, be it an LEO or a stranger, if I can help I will. Does that mean I'll always draw my weapon? No, but that's just me. I'm sure he'd be thankful.
