Re: Sellier & Bellot Rubber Buckshot.. Why?

I bought a box for snakes that have come up on our patio deck. My wife is usually home alone when this happens. I have cautioned her about ricochet off the deck injuring her or breaking glass on our rear patio doors. I figured the rubber shot would kill a snake but not cause serious injury in case o...

Re: Illegal Immigrant Accused of Shooting HPD Helicopter

If they determine he hit the aircraft then I would expect capital murder charges to be added... At least attempted capital murder now.

Re: Canyon Lake Area Mountain Lions

My parents live near Bulverde. About 20 years back my wife and mother saw a cougar stalking deer just behind the house. This is in a wooded neighborhood. Kids were out front playing at the time.

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Lukenbach, TX

Our deer lease is on the BB Luckenbach ranch. My dad has hunted there for many years. I joined him there several years back. I love that part of Texas. Beautiful.

Stopped at the new HEB this evening. Very packed but all lanes were open and I got in and out reasonably quickly. Very glad to finally have an HEB in Parker County!

Franklin Tornado

Prayers for those affected by the Franklin and other tornadoes yesterday. We have family in Franklin. They made it through okay but lots of friends and neighbors have significant property damage or are dealing with injuries.

Re: Tumbleweeds discussion

I am very much enjoying tumbleweeds. I personally like the technical aspects of the story. You've done a great job illustrating how hard it was just to survive on the frontier before 1900. Keep it up! Great job!

Re: Golden Saber - A Golden Oldie that Performs Great

When I first got my CHL I researched all the performance data I could find on the internet and concluded that the golden sabers were the best self defense round for the money. They are all I've carried in my 1911s since. Don't fix what ain't broke!

Re: Case Gauge .223?

If shooting 223 in a semi auto rifle, full length size, reload per the book and check every round with a case gauge. Failure to do so is inviting potential for an out of battery fire. I use a Wilson. The case gauge check should be the very last step in your load process before the round goes into th...
