Re: Farmer's Branch PD - Good

At this particular school zone, there are 2 stop lights after the school zone begins. When I hit the school zone, it was not yet active (it was like EXACTLY 7:00). When I accelerated from the 2nd stop light after it had turned green, the school zone had become active - and yes, I could see the yello...

Farmer's Branch PD - Good

Normally I cruise to work to be in the office by 7:00 a.m. This morning I was running a few minutes behind and was driving down Webb Chapel headed south towards 635. Now my normal routine has me passing all of the school zones before they become active. This morning, not so much... Took off from a r...

Re: shield 9mm failure to eject

Trying not to overlook the obvious - did you field strip it and give it a good lube before you took it out to the range? If it was NIB they can be pretty dry.

Re: WTB: Gun for my old man.

Beretta 92FS. If he is 70, he wont be impressed with Tupperware. I do not like that you have to pull the trigger on a Glock to take it apart. Easy to take down, simple to clean, heavy enough to control recoil, and very fun to shoot. It also has a de-cocking lever/safety. This :thumbs2: Su...

Re: Make gun related purchses by credit card? Then BO knows

Good. As in "Good, maybe people will start using cash again?" Except it has become "functionally illegal" to carry more than, or have in your possession in a safe, more than a couple hundred bucks. Can't keep $10,000 in a safe anymore cuz they'll call it "drug money" a...

Dallas - Need a true Cisco guru

Any recommendations for a true Cisco guru? Need to perform some quick analysis and implement network changes/updates to our two-site corporate network. Must know ASA5505 inside and out. Looking to iron out some ACL kinks between sites (site-to-site VPN) and remote access VPN's. This is **NOT** a lon...

Re: Air rifles....

In NJ, you must have a FID (Firearms ID card) to purchase ANY bb/pellet gun. They are considered firearms in that lovely state. I would guess that 75% of the air rifles owned in NJ were purchased over the border in PA where they're out on the shelf at the Target store and no ID is required (as it sh...

Re: Guitar advice

Hope it serves you well for a lifetime! Sold a wine red LP Studio a couple of years back that I should have kept, but I just never gave it the love it needed. What I should have done is shipped it off to my son to keep it in the family. My son's in the market for a LP, but he has champagne taste on ...

Re: Flying to FL on AA

That's really unusual...Not accepting a US government issued passport as a sole form of ID??? I assume that was at DFW??? We have a trip planned for this summer going from DFW to Seattle, and then on to Juneau, AK for an 8 day Inlet passage cruise...the trip back will be an exact reverse of the inb...

Re: Flying to FL on AA

The key thing to remember is that you should tell the ticket agent "I need to declare a firearm" not "I have a gun" :biggrinjester: Lol I learned that type of lesson when the ticket counter gal wouldn't accept my US passport as my sole form of ID - so I asked if my lifetime NRA ...

Miss my 96 Vertec that I sold to someone on this forum about 3 years ago. Straightest shooter I ever owned and it truly would eat ANYTHING. Quick and easy to field strip and easy to clean. Yup, I'm a fan.
